flawless day (7-0), curling is proving to be a nice moneymaker as these lines being put out are soft. Or maybe I'm getting lucky. Either way I'll take it. Nice calls this morning Coutts.

Woody, I'd avoid the Germans. I watched them play Canada and they were tactically weak. Looking at their recent record they are a mediocre team anyways and now that they are eliminated they are going to be very unpredictable. I have no idea what's going on with the Swedes. Three straight comprehensive losses, don't know what to make of it.

Only the early women's draw out so far, don't really like anything. Maybe Japan +3.5, +114 for a small play. Will wait patiently for the men's and late women's.

My thinking was that this is a team that Sweden can beat while Switzerland might give them some trouble.

Didn't see the Canada/Finland game so how did they manage that 4 point end? It was a killer for my over 7.5 play, that and the gift to Sweden. Canada has only USA/Italy/New Zealand left which includes two of the softest teams.

Coutts,
What time is that going to be? Is that when you will know who will have the hammer?

gl on your plays coutts.

Personally small plays on Finland and Over 12.5. Did play the Japanese women to cover 3.5.

Good sized play on USA -160. USA is rolling and I give them a good chance for Gold. They win this matchup 70% of the time.

*Strange they already listed a Sunday women's matchup. Just played USA +1.5, +135 over Switzerland there.

finishing up with the evening women's draw.

USA -1.5, -135 & O12.5
- Both teams with basically no chance for medals. Will play lose and put stones in play, USA will show their class.

And really like Norway -130, better team with the hammer. Japan at almost 10-1 might also be worth a shot.

Wow, Great Britain steal of 1 on final end to win 6-5 over Switzerland. :103631605

But whatever happened to Canada? From the stats looked like problems with takeouts against a great takeout performance by Italy's 3rd. Had to steal one against Italy on 10th end to tie 6-6, but couldn't steal on the extra end. Is this team collapsing?

Never trusted Team Gushue and think there are several better teams in Canada which would've performed alot better. Canada made mistakes early and allowed Italy to lead by a nice margin. Italy then played a sound game to hold off Canada.

Canada loses both curling games today and is in jeopardy of losing to the Swiss in hockey. What a payout that would've been!

Now 13-1 in the past couple days.:anichamp4

Late men's draw goes in just under two hours. I like Great Britain -130ish over Finland. Both teams sit at 6-2 and will be playing their final game of the round robin. They both have clinched a birth into the semi's but are playing for the hammer advantage. Finland is rolling but watching them they seem to play a sort of high risk game. I like GBR a bit more and with the hammer the price is good.

I took a small shot with NZ at 8.5-1 over Canada. NZ has played horrendously but I don't trust Canada at all. NZ won't want to go home winless and with the hammer I truly believe Canada doesn't win this 85-90% as the odds suggest. Canada also has pressure to deal with as they could be knocked back into a tiebreaker situation with a loss in either of their two remaining games.

One more, Norway -240ish over Germany. Norway must win to hope for a tiebreaker. Even though Canada will likely beat NZ they do have to play the US tomorrow so its a possible scenario. Lots of juice but I really don't think Germany can stop Norway here. Norway is a class above the Germans with motivation and the hammer.

I also took Great Britain over Finland as well as Switzerland to beat Sweden. Coming in as second favourite Sweden has performed even worse than Canada and I have no trust in this team, they even lost their last game to Germany!

While Canada could likely have sent a better team we have to go with the one that took the trials. Can't see them losing to New Zealand then a win against what should be an exciting game against USA with give them a playoff berth. Playoffs are then a whole new pile of rocks.

Congrats on the 13-1 record, mine is positive so far.

11-5 yourself ain't bad! Seems Coutts is also making a nice piece.

Even if Canada gets into the semi's they have a huge uphill battle playing without the hammer. Winning two games without the hammer against two quality opponents will be extremely difficult. US or GBR will take the gold imo.

About Sweden looking at the raw curling numbers Sweden hasn't played as badly as their record indicates. Friday was their crucial day but had to play two hot teams (GBR/Finland) and were unable to get a result. The Swiss are solid but I actually just took a small shot on Sweden as the price has plummeted (rightfully so) to -130ish from the opening of -180ish. Looking at the big picture Sweden still is the better team and holds the hammer. Now eliminated I do have to question their attitude heading into this game. Still they beat the Swiss last year in the European championships 8-7 (w/o last rock) and 8-5. Just going small anyways.

I still haven't seen Finland play but they opened the scoring today with a 3 point steal against Great Britain! I guess that might fit with your comment about them playing a high risk game. My thoughts about Sweden are based on watching them play and call for stategically poor shots, combined with their record. Their raw stats don't reveal poor strategy but considering all their losses I think that was likely part of their problem.

Interesting you favour US, GB for gold when Finland has been so hot winning their last 5 and the round robin 7:2, beating all the top teams as well!

So Canada is master of their destiny since a win over USA puts them in the playoffs while a loss means a tiebreaker with Norway and the winner of the Switzerland/Italy game.

So for Monday I'm taking Canada and the crowd favourite Italy so long as the price is right.

yeah nice call on the Swiss. I haven't seen the Swedes play and was simply going on their past success, biggest flop in the tournament. Although I must say NZ is horrible. Finland is on fire and now has last rock, interesting to see how this plays out.

Tough calls tomorrow, all depends on the odds for me. I'd just like to see Canada lose to the US so we get a few extra matches to bet on!
