Wow, a 9-4 Norway victory. GREAT call coutts! How does a world class team allow a 4 point end? Then two 2 point ends as well? Looks like they even stole a point as well. I see that Sweden only had 14 takeouts. Seems like a very low number even though Norway had only 23 draws. Tell me if I'm right in interpreting the stats. Seemed as though Sweden were establishing all of the position and Norway was probably scoring with great rocks on the hammer.

Nice call again coutts on Norway, they were good straight up at +136.

Although one of the favourites Sweden had previously played the non-contenders Italy and New Zealand and were clearly outplayed by Canada on the last few ends I saw, then given a gift. I don't think they warrant their 3:1 record. Its not unexpected to give up a 4 point end with lots of rocks in the house.

Did anyone see Great Britain play regarding the quality of their team or have any thoughts on the Norway/Great Britain game for 1 pm EST today?

Norway is coming off a big win against their arch rival Sweden so they could have a let down. As well skip Trulsen has a wonky knee --playing twice today. If Murdoch had the last rock for scotland they would be worth a look.

Canada/Swiss 12.5 over Gusue very aggressive and all 3 of canada's games have gone over.

No official calls here fellas?

I just wish we could see more curling here in the US. All we get are the US games.

took a shot with Germany +1.5, -145. Germany 0-2 will be desperate for a victory. Of course they have the hammer. I rate these teams pretty close.

I was unaware of the Norway's skip condition and it makes Canada tomorrow look like a good deal at -140ish.

Another great call by you two. I didn't have the balls to play it today.

For tomorrow played Canada over Norway for -150ish. Canada got a nice win in the late session against Switzerland after a bad break cost them three early on. Not to mention their blowout of GB this morning. Best team, or close to it, with the rock and some momentum is a no brainer at this price.

Also tried Italy +4.5 on the women's side. Its difficult to believe believe Italy will lose by 5 with the hammer more then 50% of the time. These two skips met twice last year representing their country with Sweden winning 8-5 and 8-7.

Labeeb, FWIW I'm posting my picks in the Picks and Record Tracker Forum.

I'm also in the US now for 2 months winter holiday and feel somewhat crippled by the lack of coverage. I did see the US women this morning and noticed the ice seems to have more curl than earlier this week which should favour the Canadian men.

Yea, I took Canada -1.5 at -113. The line had moved out to -185 so I figured the -1.5 was better value. I guess Canada is now getting a following but a max bet of $250 moves the line 10 cents at Pinny.

I also took Great Britain and was aggressive in taking USA against Sweden at over +200, I figured it has value. The US really needs the win while I don't think the Swedes were playing like the second favourite against Canada.

i like SWeden over the USA for the men tomorrow. the Swedes are the superior team and the americans must be reeling after a loss to italy.

Well that's a mistake. Canada wins 6-5 on the 10th end and Gushue doesn't need to throw his last rock...ugh.

gl coutts, was eyeing that Norway play. I think I'll take a shot at the +1.5.

Ugly win by the Canadian men just now, should have won after 5 ends. Norway played a sub par game to say the least and Canada wasn't to far behind.

Played the Canadian women for tomorrow against Great Britain at -135ish. I rate Canada slightly better than Great Britain and with the hammer the price is too low.

I noticed Norway got lots of consecutive steals early but was watching Sweden/USA.

They were basically trading points although the US missed some of their early chances due to a couple of poor shots by their third and less so by Fensom. Then they really took it to the Swedes with a steal of two on the ninth. Then keeping a clean end on the 10th, Fenson made a take-out double on his last shot to lie 2 for the win.

No lines for tomorrow's 3am EST yet but Norway and Sweden should be heavy chalk while we might get a good price on Germany whom I favour over Switzerland.

Going fairly well thus far, here's some more fun.

Great Britain +1.5, -115ish over Sweden (mens)
New Zealand +1.5, -110ish over Italy (mens)
USA +1.5, -115ish over Switzerland (mens)
-all cases of teams I rate pretty equal yet they all have the hammer. Incredible value. Italy being favoured without the hammer is mind boggling. USA and Great Britain both coming off nice wins.

Finland +1.5 in both their matches (+115ish and +150ish)
-Finland has been struggling of late but I think they can keep at least one of these close if they play to their capabilites. Trying outright on both isn't a bad idea either

Also fancied Norway -1.5 over Italy but the price has shot up to almost -200, play at your own risk. Norway defeated Italy twice last year 9-4 on both occasions. I don't see what will change this time around.

On the women's end as mentioned earlier like the Canadians over Great Britain at around -145. Also took the Italians for a smaller wager to cover 3.5 vs. the Norwegians. All teams I bet have the hammer.

Finland blew out Sweden early this morning 11-4. Again I think this Swedish team is very suspect for their early ranking as second favourite. I don't see them making the medals as they must be really down now. After their big win Finland will, I hope, be an easy win for Canada (my over 7.5 is still in play).

Anyway I also like Great Britain over Sweden and USA over Switzerland but took them straight up.

Great Britain/Canada at 4:1 with Finland/Switzerland/USA at 3:2 makes this a big match for USA to position themselves in the top 4 seeds and for Great Britain to keep pace with Canada.

Wow, Sweden 2-8 after 7 ends and final. They have only Germany and Switzerland left to play on Sunday. Anyone seen Germany play? They also seem to be faring far worse than their ranking.
