Oklahoma maintains Coaches lead by 1 point (incredible), but UT jumps UF in Coaches!

Texas jumped OU in the Harris poll. And made a significant advancement in the Coaches Poll. But it won't be enough because of OU's sizeable lead in the computer rankings.

lol why would that be the huge new development

the huge new development is that the guessing is over and we know for sure.... texas only leads by 6 in the harris, which was far short of what they needed....

Guys on FOX promoting the BCS standings during the NFL post-game show, just said there is a "huge, new development"...Looks like texas got in !

Seems like a "new development" would mean that there'd be a change, not status quo.

Texas screwed by 2 coaches, period, end of story.

I think OU now... They keep saying "big shakeup", which compared to last week means OU got it.

Everyone was expecting OU to get it, but in terms of the last BCS standings...that would be the only "big shakeup".

the ground texas gained in the coaches and harris polls might be enough for them to hold ou off in the computers... who will prevail, the humans or the machines... hippie, what do you think, sounds like you were doing the number crunching, now that we know the harris, what do you think is going to happen?

OU has too big of a lead in the computers. This will be the deciding factor.

It' not going to happen for Texas, my numbers show UT needed around a 35 point lead in the Harris due to the Coaches' poll travesty, and I have a lot of confidence in my numbers. OU's computer lead is going to be too significant according to what I'm hearing out of Sagarin and this will ultimately outweight the split in the human polls.

This whole thing has been decided by 2 coaches who personally decided to take it upon themselves and screw the entire system.

Now, I do think your team is better overall than UT, but that's not the issue here. I'm a non-partisan CFB fan who just wants to see what's the MOST fair and head-to-head MUST be the ultimate factor.

What's unfair about two coaches who vote Oklahoma #1. It's their vote and what they do with it is their decision not yours. Geezus this vendetta you are on is unbelievable. Plus you just said you thought OU is a better team. What's up with that? Head to head can't be the only deciding factor when you play this many games. Tech beat Texas what about them? You can't have yor cake and eat it too. Stoops doesn't even have a vote so you can't blame him. As far as I'm concerned ESPN & Mack Brown cost Texas dearly with all of this politcal BS. Everytime you turned around Mack was on TV & Radio begging the voters. (45-35) all over the place! Hell people get tired of the whining.

For the Texas fans, if OU loses in the big12 championship...Texas will go to the title game.

So there is still hope

This "hosing" has got to come to an end.

No matter how they do it, play-offs need to be implemented or this shroud over the national championship will continue.

Congrats to OU. Assuming you can get your Stoops off the TV long enough to go beat Mizzou, maybe you can go get your shit pushed in on yet another national stage.
