BJ Upton

His shoulder is fully healed and that means he's a solid threat for .300/25/90....and the RBIs only low because he's likely batting second in the order. Meanwhile, he'll also score 100+ Runs and steal 50 bases.

With the 81 game mark coming up in three more days

Upton up to 57 (season), 3 (past month)

.247, but .333 past month
51 Runs
6 HR
30 RBI
29 SB

Oh, he's been batting leadoff all season....In my late March post, I thought perhaps Iwamura would retain that spot, but from the moment

I know this has already been addressed, but...

I have no problem with your man crush on Upton, but over Hanley or Pujols as the #2 overall. No

When Upton becomes a 30/30 guy and sports a .300 BA then you can let him into the first round discussion.

As it stands, touting him on runs and SB's, he is second on his own team behind Crawford, while batting 60 pts lower.

You gotta take chances in fantasy, but not with your #2 pick. I could sleep at night, even having taken Reyes here. No way to predict a season lost to injury.

You are right in you thought that the projected top 10 are never the final top 10, but 5 usually are. What are the odds of finding a guy from the lower rounds who will end up in the top 10. Certainly less than %50. A key to having a good draft, is knowing where guys will likely be picked. Doing a few Mock drafts and looking at some ADP, you would have known that Upton was going around 29th overall. Having the 2nd pick, you could have landed him at the end of the RD. 2 or top of 3. Then you have your boy along with Al or H-Ram and that trade you planned is not needed.

Anyways, I've only been around here for a few weeks. How is the fantasy sports chat around here as things heat up toward Sept. I look forward to hearing everyones thoughts.

Inch by inch....day by day RbR

Of most interest to me is where a player finishes in contrast to his preseason rating (the "O" rating at yahoo for instance).

Will remain interesting to see just how close Mel gets to #2 and/or bypassing H Ramirez by year's end
