Looks like Harry set ties to remain active? I assumed it would be treated as a loss

yeah whats up with that?@)

It wasn't an option. Just looked again and don't see Yahoo giving me that option one way or the other.

I was traveling all day today but I saw that score and was like "shit...someone won't be happy".

My original inclination is to just handle it however Yahoo handles it. Seems to me like it would be a loss thought...

I tried to see how yahoo grades it in the rules but I just found a place that said ties are considered a loss (depending on what the commish chose). I agree to just follow however yahoo grades it tho

That quote is incorrect. That's just some other contestants opinion. No where like HarryCaray mentioned was there an option given one way or the other.

I didn't say that I knew if he was given a choice - just what I read on the yahoo site.

If a correct selection is made, you will remain Active for the following week. If an incorrect selection is made (or the game ends in a tie), you will be incur a Strike and could be Eliminated, depending on the group's settings.

And now that I re-read this - i think just the part about being eliminated is the option - site makes it read that a tie is a loss

Sounds like the setting they are referring to is the "one strike and you're out" option...

Which means that our group settings are set to not be eliminated due to a Strike caused by a tie.

Guys, this is how that rule reads.

  • <label for="NS">Number of Strikes?</label>

    1 Strike and you're eliminated
Members will be eliminated after this many incorrect pick

I interpret the rule jstack posted to mean a tie is a strike, and whether or not that strike leads to elimination depends on the way your league is set up with regards to the rule posted above.

The only confusion I have is why CIN is shown in green right now and not red on the league home page.

So what's the verdict?
