you guys are a joke, and so is uefa and fifa because they will do whatever it takes to fuck italy over year in and year out.... its italy against the world in every tourny, and they still come out on top!!! and dont deny it, because there is so much proof to back up italy getting screwed, like 10 minutes injury time, teams drawing just to eliminate the azzurri, offside goals allowed left right and centre.. its true, know one wants the italians to win! but isnt that too bad, because no one will stop them. congrats to netherlands, the 1st and last team to beat italy in euro 08

Are you serious? Why would they not want Italy to make it through? Italy has one of the biggest fan bases in the world. They certainly have way more fans than Holland or Romania, so why would they want one of those teams to move on over Italy? The ratings would be good no matter what because it's still the Euro Cup, but I guarantee you more fans will tune in for games like Italy/France, Germany/Portugal than Holland/Greece or something like that. Italy is a big name team that would only increase ratings, so they would have no reason to want them out. If you watched the game like I did Italy just didn't look that good. They had their chances and couldn't capitalize, but without Buffon that game could've ended 5-0 easily.

The call was right, so please stop complaining. The rules say it was the right call. A defender was behind the goal line making Ruud onside.

italy deciding not to show up in the first half fucked them a whole lot worse than uefa and fifa could have. or just blame the refs and not the team...whichever

Uh oh, someone has a victim complex. Good thing the rest of Italy doesn't.

Typical Italy fan from Canada. In the streets waving flags and blocking traffic when they win. Crying like a little girl and blaming the whole world when they lose. Pack your bags and move to Wood-a-bridge where you might find someone who gives a shit, unless you already live there, that is.

1) It was the right call
2) It didn't matter the Italians were played off the park
3) I am not biased. I bet on Italy in this game and in several futures (and I hate the Dutch).

Italy going out, but they will take the French with them to the painful grave. Domenech and Donadoni, not really respected within the confines of their own country for their continual habit of wrong decision making.
I was talking to a bridge engineer in China (yes, a Chinese) this morning, the land where - believe it or not - Serie A is highly viewed, and AC Milan has an incredible fan base going back to the Van Bansten/Donadoni/Maldini/Baresi days. Could not believe how old and slow the Italians looked..."Well that's the way it is I guess" I said, and switching subject, to some degree, I asked: "So, do Chinese women still like that skinny hairy guy Maldini, or is little Cannavaro ready to replace him?" His response following quick laughter was very direct: "Like Del Piero and Grosso more, look like actors"

Go Holland, you better not let-up against perhaps the luckiest soccer team on the planet. And let's not forget one thing, the French are constantly complaining (racist) about the "Arab Invasion", as various French colonist countries (Algeria/Tunisia to name a few), head for French shores via immigration routes. Yet, the French National team, is a reflection of reality in that country; with many of their players like Zidane, stolen from their homeland and given a quick passport.

Never forget when another former colony, Senegal, upset the French in the first game of 2002. Not sure how many of the French players were born in Senegal, but I know for sure that Viera was.
