Seattle had lost 9 games straight.

Good thing they played the Yankees today, because they
needed to find a team they could crush.

Seattle 7
Yankees 1

Yankees now tied in the loss column w/ Seattle for the
wildcard lead.

We have all counted the Yankees out before though...they don't even look that great offensively right now...
the 1B-DH spot has been awful...
Matsui's been very average
Abreu is back to where he was his last years in Philly
Cano hasn't done much yet.

Mussina , he will probably find himself, get hot, he always does at some point
Pettitte has been very good so far, better than expected i think.
Wang could heat up and probably will.
Clemens, we'll see.

If those four all come around they should be fine.. Can the bullpen preserve the leads? None of these guys are going to throw many if any complete games.

If I had to put on odds the Yankees making the playoffs I would say they have about a 25% chance at this point....they will make a run though.

hows the moose doing? i havent seen his stats or his name being called in the starting rotation recently :nono5:

I'd have to say that the sweep of the Red Sox was MORE than negated by losing 3 of 4 to the (awful against everybody else lately) Tigers, losing 2 out of 3 to the worst team in all of baseball, Tampa Bay, and now losing at home against the coldest team in all of baseball...but that's just ME.:toast: :103631605  :nohead:

Giambi is horrible, I really hope he dies of some form of post-steroid use affliction.
