This is good news. Fed would beat Dimi in the final.... and I think Dimi can beat Rafa/Raonic in semi.

Dimitrov is the perfect sacrificial lamb for Fed. Think "Andy Roddick". A lower caliber level top player who is good.... but not great.

Honestly, now praying for this matchup as this will give Fed #18.

O/c, Dimi can still have a meltdown up 2-0 sets.

Rafa/Raonic OVER 3.5 Sets is a lock.

Not a doubt in the world on this one.

didn't see the match. Knocking off world #3 in straights on HC is huge. Clearly, Rafa is in form. Last yr raised eyebrows with disturbing early GS exits at Wimbledon and US open; turned 30 last summer, is he on the decline? Well, he's answering questions at Melbourne

list of players to win a GS in the modern era after the age of 30;

1 Andres Gomez- 30 yrs 3 mths
2 Fed- 30 yrs, 11 mths
3 J Connors- 31
4. P Sampras- 31
5. A Agassi- 32, 8 mths

not a big list, this sport ain't for older chaps.......:)

semi's all set;

Nadal Vs Dimitrov
Wawrinka Vs Old Man

Well, I was wrong. Did not think Raonic would get done like that like a goat in Afghanistan.

If Dimi doesn't beat Rafa, will have to watch Fed get embarassed on live TV in front of billions... face)(*^%

00.30 Rafael Nadal -205 -4 +102 Over 39.5 -110
Under 39.5 +100
Grigor Dimitrov +192 +4 -113

Possible. These are the only scenarios I see:

Fed > Stan, Rafa > Dimi .......... Rafa > Fed
Fed > Stan, Dimi > Rafa ........... Fed > Dimi

Stan > Fed, Rafa > Dimi ........... Stan > Rafa
Stan > Fed, Dimi > Rafa ........... Stan > Dimi

I don't see Dimi winning it all in any scenario.

Am I seeing this wrong?

Fed and Rafa semis are separate days?

Books show Fed plays THU morning and Rafa plays FRI morning....

Is this an error?

Rafa has owned Roger his whole career. It's the reason why I argue that Roger isn't the greatest player of all time. In a heads-up sport like
tennis, when you get crushed by the same player over and over in your prime, you aren't the greatest ever.

Fed is now -160 over World #4? wow. That's nuts. Stan just won the US Open!!

"I have to stay aggressive," said Federer.

"The more time I give him the better he is, like most of the big hitters.
"He's maybe the biggest hitter we have in the game right now.
"I'm happy that he's got this far but he doesn't need to go one step further!"

"He's a clutch player now," added Federer.
"He's really turned it round and he proved that again at the US Open

"He's won a slam the last three years.
"When it was important in the Davis Cup he was right there for me, for us and for Switzerland."

likely his last trip to Melbourne....gl to the old man...........:)

Price -180 and climbing. Clay = Stan. HC = Fed.

I actually think Dimi can give Rafa a run for his money. I remember how Dimi choked against Rafa in a prior AO when he should've beat him. Just a long list of players that eventually crack against Rafa and quit like a bitch. However, Dimi is a much better player today.

Dimi > Rafa is his only hope. Otherwise, we'll watch Fed get "jizzblasted on" on live television by Rafa.
