Hard to imagine the Peelers letting down. The Jets are no joke and they should give the Peelers all they can handle. I'd probably take the points even in Ketchup Field.

Now the Skins on the other hand.......:nono5:

Dante, I don't know if you follow trends or not, but Pittsburgh has won their last 10 games SU. Considering pointspreads only come into play 18% of the time, and believing they will win again at home, I would play Pitt -5.5 or nothing. GL

P.S. Great avatar!

I've got the line at Pitt -3, and as it should be a moderately low-scoring game, I made a nice sucker bet of teasing the Jets up to +15.5.

Jets are the real contender. Remember, they play down to their competition and get UP for the big games. They should have beat NE, in NE and have tough losses against Buffalo and Baltimore,. This team could easily be undefeated. Jets have a GREAT D and will shut down the Pitts O. 5.5 points is too many for what should be a low scoring game, but the Jets will come out ready to play, that is the one thing which is guarenteed. With Pennington back, the team is flying sky high after that nice win against the Texans and has everything going for them.

Possible outright win here for the Jets.

You can't be for real here...

If you bet real money on the J.E.T.S. jets jets jets in this game then you might as well be flushing it down the drain!!

Unless you've been on a different planet and out of touch, Pittsburgh not only beat NE but literally CRUSHED them at Heinz field, which oh by the way...was the seen of another massacre when the supposed high flying Eagles flew in but grounded out.

Last weeks win over the Jags will have the Steelers fully focused as they know they came within a whisker of possibly losing out on homefield advantage thru out the playoffs...this game won't even be close and Pennington might not make it to the final gun.

Deb, this is one of the greatest rebuttals I have ever read at the RX. Very nicely done.

My initial thought is that this game is a pass. Note that the Steelers have won their last 2 games without covering. We know Abraham is out and if Plexico plays, I would not play the Jets for sure.

What do the Steelers have to do to get the respect? Every week I have seen at least 2 or 3 threads suggesting this will be the week Pitt crashes back to reality. Wont happen this week against the over rated Jets.

Steelers still in a dog fight with the Pats for home field in the playoffs. They cant let up as home field can mean the difference on who goes to the SB.
IMO Steelers win and cover here easily.

NE beat themselves against Pittsburgh and that's not taking anything away from Pittsburgh, as yes they forced the TO's but NE certainly played like ****. Fumble on the kicoff and an INT return for TD by Pitt in the first Q set the tone and before the Pats even woke up, they were out of the game.

And yes Pit destroyed Philly, I will give them that but with that logic they should have destroyed any team that comes into the building and they haven't done so.

I've watched every minute of every Jet game this season. I read about them in the paper all week long. In my opinion there is something about this team that's not right.

I know they are 9-3 and #1 in points allowed to the opposition but in my opinion they are not a top team. I think their good record was built on an easy schedule and playing poor teams. At best they are a good second rate team. They will beat the patsies on their schedule and put up a good struggle against the top teams but they will never beat a top team. They don't have that killer instinct to put away a good team in the 4th quarter. And specially with John Abraham out this week I will be laying the 5.5 with Pitt.

esqajm very well put could not agree more and i to am subjected to watching the jets every week thnk god the pats are on fm radio outhere.Work in the yard curse at the radio neighbors think im nutz but hey herm edwards sucks some of the play calling is a joke baltimore before half kinda reminds me of the jim fassel play calling a few years ago against arizona read from the same script pitt is gonna wax .Another battle of mac quarterbacks my money is on big ben.jets probably have better chance with carter in as quarterback and run the option.

Well the Steelers just demolish everyone they face there. Would be really difficult for me to believe that the Jets will be any different. I thought the number would be a Full TD in this case as 5 or 5.5 is always a counterfiet number in my books. The number of 6 is all i see in this case and that seems to be attracting a little 2 way at this time...
But being in the state of Texas and some consider part of the "Twlight Zone" favorite number are always a tad higher for the locals. As you have well seen the favorites are Just CRUSHING the NFL at this time..

The Eagles are a much different team on defense since they played the Peelers. If it wasn't for the Peelers they wouldn't have made the key adjustments at linebacker and on the D line that has worked out to perfection since that loss.

The birds watch the game film and to a man all have said they can't believe that is them on tape. I think losing to the Peelers may have been a blessing in disguise.

I see the Pitt/NYJ game being similar to the Pitt/Jax game last week (the only difference is that Pitt is at home), and am confident with a total posted at 35.5 (same as last week's low total) that Pitt won't beat the Jets by more than 14, hence my big tease with the Pats and Broncos.
