I look at it several times today at the office and everyone said he hit his chest first and then maybe the momentum got some chin in there. Check the 40 second mark of the video.
Also at the 1:20 mark it looks like he could have hurt the chin when falling on the ice. Or maybe he fell in the shower.
it was late yes but not a head shot. Yes a penalty should have been called. If Kreider was suspended then you could make a better case, but since he wasn't, then Prust shouldn't be. Otherwise the NHL will seem like they are playing favorites here.
ya the 40 second mark does make it look like the initial contact was with the chest and follow through was up in his chin. thats interference though at the least and the carcillo play wow i was watching it and before he snuck that elbow in it seemed like he was crosschecking the linesman with his stick
