You probably aren't the best spokesperson for something like this. While I disagree with would he did, I'm glad I live in a country that gives him the right to do that. People have the right to call him an idiot for it as well. Your position on blacks is well known

My position based on facts is well known.

Although I respect anyone's opinion on any matter, CK is seriously misguided here on how he's going about this.

I don't think anyone has to give the order. I could see Olinemen giving less than 100% effort on Kap's blindside protection. Dude has been a cancer on this team since Harbaugh left. Kap's career has only gone downhill sonce reaching the SB. It's over...

Very Well Said.

BitchPunk has rolled a pair of Dice here by being who he is both with this Disgraceful event and alienation of his teammates amongst these True Warriors that he may as well be going out there withOUT a fucking O-Line.

Hike The Ball to him, lets get this execution over with.

Based upon your post I feel temptation to switch my choice of Executioner from LA Ram to SD Charger as Kap has to survive SD to give LA a chance Week 2 to get this done.

I'm hoping for an "understanding" though, between players with Military Family that this should be done on Monday Night.

Oh MY GOD I deserve +1444 on LA Rams as his Executioner and him getting past Week One San Diego cuz now he has also insulted TOTALLY those Defensive Players who have Law Enforcement Dads & Grandfathers.

kaepernick is bloody fucking STOOPID.

How does one just, from one day to the next, go from being just an ineffective QB going through the motions to collect money to being exposed as among the stupidest fuckers to have ever existed?

Amazing.

Last night wasn't the first time. He's sat the other two practice games also. NFL says players are encoyraged, but not reqired, to stand during the anthem.
*I've always wondered why the national anthem is played before sporting events. Just should start the game.

Yeah thats widely recognized as the Best Version Ever. Or at least as far back as most of us boneheads can recall.

You are enough of a Patriot that you make up for some of these other posters, who lack in that area.

Be Encouraged that Your Great Patriotism, HamGlaze, will make me able to be more gentle with them.

Just like we've always wanted to take those extra points from that massive blowout COVER ATS

and apply those points to other games when needed, so as to Cover ATS those as well.....

....basically, thats what you've enabled HamGlaze. A more Tolerant Me & a less hostile atmosphere here

cuz Your Own Patriotism so amazing that you should be on a fucking Postage Stamp.

Its very weird how all of our lives we've had to pause 5 seconds for local channels to identify themselves.

This is very strange.

How did this become an issue? Did people forget who thier local channels were?

Like, guys were watching a sports broadcast then got hit with: "Yo. Hold Up. What Station am I watching Right Now?"

And that was, like, a thing that really puzzled them so much that some thing had to be done?

One can only conclude that this became a big problem. At some point before we got here.

OK guys, free speech is supposed to work both ways. Yes, he has a personal right not to stand during the Anthem. However, the NFL and/or his team could take the position that sitting violates their morality clauses and they suspend him. They wouldn't tolerate a player having a rebel flag any more or what if god forbid a player tweeted out that Black Lives Matter is a racist organization? The player would be fined or suspended. However, this works both ways. If enough fans stood up and said we are not going to stand for this, the team and the league would have to make a decision.

I have instituted a boycott of the NBA since they pulled the All Star Game from Charlotte. The fans have the ultimate decision on this one. I am waiting.

Maybe Crappernick wants opposing defenses to excercise their right to be extra motivated.

NFL issues statement on Colin Kaepernick not standing during National Anthem.

It has been 12 hours since the story dropped that Colin Kaepernick did not stand during the National Anthem. The NFL has now issued a statement on the matter, keeping things pretty simple.

"Players are encouraged but not required to stand during the playing of the National Anthem."

There had been some question as to how the NFL would respond to Kaepernick’s decision to sit in protest during the Anthem. Given the inconsistency in NFL punishment, I don’t think any response would have surprised me. They could have fined or suspended him, or they could have done nothing, and it would all have been par for the course. But it would appear there will be no punishment by the league.

The 49ers issued a statement to Pro Football Talk when the story first broke, and they too recognized his right to express himself:

The national anthem is and always will be a special part of the pre-game ceremony. It is an opportunity to honor our country and reflect on the great liberties we are afforded as its citizens. In respecting such American principles as freedom of religion and freedom of expression, we recognize the right of an individual to choose to participate, or not, in our celebration of the national anthem.
