MegaLocks has released 1 pick so far for the Bowl games, which is a bit unusual. He's likes it a lot, so should you. Here's why:

Sin City, baby.
This is just a great match-up with Oregon taking on Boise St. Oregon is looking more like OREGON with their starting QB back in the fold and will play this game with new HC Mario Cristobal. Boise St is the proud Mountain West CHAMP and would love to knock off Oregon yet AGAIN. What is gonna happen, yo ? Let’s dig in !
The Match-Up
Oregon offense vs Boise St defense
We are sure you have read this by now but the Oregon offense is just WAYYYY better with starting QB Justin Herbert running the show. The Ducks have averaged over 50 (!) points a game with him at the controls and have been borderline CAMEL DUNG without him under center. Starting RB Royce Freeman is a star and will not be playing in this game. Load up on Boise if that worries you (more on that below). The strength of this offense is in the DEPTH at running back and the skill of the QB. The Ducks had 40 (!) rushing TDs and Freeman had 16. Ask yourself. If they did not have Freeman would that mean they would have just had 24 OR does that mean other guys would have bagged the rushing TDs ? The answer is probably close to “38” although nobody really knows LOL.
The strength of the Boise St team is their defense which is ranked #23 in the FBS and #2 in the MW in yards per play allowed. We wonder about the competition they have faced. The MW was down this season and Oregon can bring a world of hurt if they are focused. It really is this simple – if you believe that the Boise defense can hold Oregon to under 30 points (without RB Freeman) then just bet Boise and be done with it. You might be correct.
Boise St offense vs Oregon defense
The Broncos have struggled on offense this season and have the #88 (!) rushing offense in the FBS. Everyone is focused on the Oregon offensive stars but NOBODY is focusing on the fact that two of the three best Boise St offensive players (RB – A Mattison 1,074 yards; TE Jack Roh 9 TDs) will either be OUT or limited in their ability. Funny how that works. DEGENERATE PANIC !!! Boise utilizes a two QB system and will have to mix and match to the best of their ability to stay in this game. WR Cedric Wilson is a true star and will have to be a difference-maker on Saturday.
The Oregon defense is the most underrated unit in this game as they finished #41 in the FBS playing a much tougher schedule. They were #3 in the PAC 12 in yards per play allowed and #2 in run defense. Boise is capable of scoring points but they have needed help from their defense and special teams all season to win games. <grabs popcorn>
Motivation / Intangibles
Oregon – We feel that the players are PUMPED that HC Cristobal is aboard, and frankly, we cannot wait to see this team take the field in 2018. There was a petition signed by over 70 players to have MC anointed as the head man. They will run through a wall for this guy and want to start the new era in a positive direction. They also know that Boise beat them twice in a row (almost a decade ago) AND also realize it has been a long time since bowl victory. We see them playing with their hair on fire BUT could be wrong. Judge our opinion as you see fit.
GRADE – Very good to excellent.
Boise St – They just won the Mountain West and have recorded victories over Oregon the last two times these teams hooked up. But that was under HC Chris Petersen, yo. Sure – they are Boise St and want to always win BUT it’s not like they are playing USC. And they are the MW CHAMPS.
GRADE – Average.
MEGA BOWL BITES

Boise St is 3-0 in their last three appearances in the Las Vegas Bowl…..Oregon has not won a bowl game since the 2014 Rose Bowl destruction of Florida St…..MEGALOCKS members remember all to well the 2015 Alamo Bowl debacle when they blew a 170-0 lead.
Summary
There are three major reasons for this play aside from overall talent. Motivation (we may be wrong ?), the fact that star QB Justin Herbert was injured for a good chunk of time and the Oregon DEFENSE is vastly underrated.

The line moved from -7 -115 to -7 -106 when the news came out that Oregon RB Freeman was out. That was just minutes after we sent out our pick. What do you think that is telling you ? The best RB of all-time is not playing. Line barely moves. We can debate this crap all year but most line move action is complete noise. Boise can win and/or cover. We side with the Ducks. Let’s see what happens.
Conclusion
Official play: Oregon -7 -115
