Newsletter Tracking through 10/10/2016 (After Monday Night Football) by Mendoza Line, posted October 11 at another forum:
Not every newsletter gets posted every week, and I'll try to note when the record doesn't include every week of the season.
Another note is that the grading is based on the line indicated in the newsletter at the time of publication, not the closing line. This week's update reflects the Tennesse Vols being played at different lines by different services, for example.
I've been tracking football newsletters for a lot of years, and this is the worst overall performance I've ever seen.
I concur with you Buzz and thanks again for posting what you can find on the WW.
I've tracked many of these pubs since they began, Power Sweep used to be very solid, they've lost several handicappers who went onto their own and Phil Steele puts more emphasis on his ESPN stuff and Inside the Press Box, Power Plays is same pub for Northcoast sports, they have a few handicappers working for them, all using the computer and past trends to formulate their picks, thus consistency is lacking on their part, Brad Powers had worked for Phil Steele, he has his own pub now and twitter acct, and he's not having the type of year he's had in the past, LY he was one of the best along with Winning Pts and Sport Reporter was good in the NFL, this year SR is better at preferred picks than their Best Bets, they as well have suffered like Northcoast losing cappers who went on their own or went to work for someone else.
CKO/Gold Sheet, same thing, only cappers still there who are worth anything are Marshall and Olsan's son, the elder Olsan I believe passed away a few years back, their 25 year record on GSK/CKO 10* & 11*/GS Tech, are at 51.2%, that doesn't make anyone money, but their loyal followers still buy their tip sheets.
GL!! Thanks again!
