6* over lakers
Did*Pinnacle*screw up…or did the right person dictate this line? Either way, it points towards the over.*
*
Pinnacle opened this line up at 192, within six minutes the line was bet up directly to 193. This then dictated the opening price for every single sportsbook offshore. Now, its not a re-open because it was open for wagering, and the line has been opening for wagering since. There is documented history of this game being bet at 192, albeit for a short period of time, it still happened. This happened almost 20 hours ago from the time I am writing this at noon, and still the line is sitting dead at 193, despite being hammered the OPPOSITE way on the under.*
For those of you who have missed what I am trying to say, basically, there was a bet placed just after 4PM at Pinnacle on Saturday which drove the line up instantly a full point. This DICTATED the opening line of 193 for every book. Pinnacle was the only book which opened at 192. Since then, each and every book I am aware of and I have to assume Pinnacle as well has been beat up with action on the under. Now at 12PM noon on Sunday, there is nothing but 193 at every major book and a couple 192.5’s at the small books which couldn’t handle the action. The bet placed yesterday dictated the line, shaped the movement and is holding strong for books across the Caribbean.*

There is also a massive over adjustment from the game played just over a week ago which is driving a TON of action on the under and spreading a very large false perception for everyone paying attention. I think people forget that there were 34 points scored in overtime last game. Take away OT, this game was right at the number now, 195. The books adjusted this from the previous matchup’s opening number of 183 five full possessions. To many bettors that says books error, to me it says books hint. Five full possessions is a big move, and I believe it.

Whether or not the Grizzlies were looking ahead to this game the whole four game west road swing is un-sure, but they were yesterday without a doubt. The Grizzlies have been in LA since early Friday morning and have been off the court by game time for a true 36 hours. I feel that the Grizzlies are coming into this game simply not giving a damn. When you don’t give a damn, especially when your team is loaded up with young players, they go to offense not defense. Well, let me re-say that. The Grizzlies are playing with nothing to lose. Well, even that sounds strange. Basically, what I am trying to say is they are going to be playing fast, and loose, like a drunk night at a whore house. They are playing the Lakers, end of a four game swing, day off at home tomorrow, Sunday night, time to get out and run. In order for the Grizzlies to play defense, they are going to have to go out and work. I don’t see this being the time or place to work. This is the time and place to let loose and try to impress, more so, try to impress number 24 on the other side of the floor.*

The Lakers on the other hand are playing better than ever. They run and dictate the pace of play at home every single game and force the other team to play with them. Now with a young true point guard in the picture, they are also having more fun than ever. Sessions is bringing this whole team together, and these guys are being able to score with ease. Last game every starter had double digits, and Barnes had 9 on the bench. Although there is not a massive rotation off the bench, the Lakers are now a scary team to play again. Remember the run the Knicks went on when that Asian point guard they have (what the hell is his name again?) went off for a couple games.*

The Lakers are scoring and will continue to score tonight, and I don’t see the Grizzlies stopping them. The Lakers will get 100 here tonight minimum, all we need is the Grizzlies to meet pace and its all good. I think this is a true line of 197, but I am not complaining with 193 at all.*
