I think there a huge difference between the two and it's not really fair to group them together
If someone founded the company (man or woman), they deserve any number they want to pay themselves. I would never complain about that.
Yeah if companies like Nike didn't exist their would be a few less 3rd wolrd labor camps that pay $200 a year
If some RXer was the CEO/Boss seems like America would be losing some more jobs to the strong 3rd wolrd economy of $200 a year with no benefits hno:
Please tell us why the CEO of Pepsi or Boeing shouldn't make "millions and millions" more than the guy running the IT department?
Further, tell us which business school taught you these concepts as part of the MBA curriculum? I'm curious.
This is exactly my point. Some people in life lead and others follow. We need people to run the IT department. Not to say it's not important but the responsibility level is nowhere near the same as a CEO.
Does Joe Johnson deserve to make the same amount as LeBron? What is the point
How has no one pointed out the fact that most CEO's are appointed by their close colleagues and friends on the board? That is why you see grossly overpaid CEO's in America.
The issue isn't CEO pay and bonuses so much as the total inequity in pay between CEO's and the workers who support the company. In even in a recession, CEO pay has steadily gone up into the millions while layoffs and wage cuts below them increase.
I think the point it that it's OK and fair that people can criticize ceo pay, just like they can Joe Johnsons pay.
Enfuego is trying to say (I think) that the public should not be allowed to complain about what a ceo makes because it's none of the publics business. I disagree with that

Well, you make an interesting point. If you own stock in a company, fair enough. If you're just bitching because you think a CEO should be paid less compared to the worker dudes, that's dumb.
People bitch about athlete pay all the time and they don't own stock in the Cowboys. If a guy says he wants more money, you'll see people play it off like "Oh I'd tell him to screw off" as if that is part of a shrewd negotiating process when really all they're trying to say is fuck that N-word for making 100x more than me.
