No Kyrie fan, but just digest that a guy gets suspended for having an opinion. Doesn't matter if it's the right or wrong opinion...he has that right doesn't he? If some football player tweets that men cannot have babies and gets suspended, is everyone OK with that too?
The media (who pose as Journalists), the ACLU and anyone who thinks the constitution has any importance should all be on the first amendment side of this argument.
Cryrie has a history, he's a disruption to the organization. He's bringing in more unwanted distractions. Employers don't like that, just like employers didn't like what CK was doing when he took a knee. Actions have reactions, and it appears the Nets gave him chances to backtrack and he didn't say what they wanted him to say.
He's missed games because some career criminal was killed
He's missed games and arguably ruined a season because he refused a vaccine. I don't support government mandates, I do respect policies imposed by private organizations. They have to do what they believe is best for their business. I have a client who's a musician, held scores of small gigs and is a recording studio musician. Never made much money. Lands a great job with a prestigious university making great money with great benefits. He was about to lose that job because he wouldn't get the vaccine. I told him to get the vaccine, don't lose this job, one like this may never come his way again. He said his family is saying the same thing. He's vaccinated now, still has his great job, that's life. Virtually the entire NBA (and all of sports) is vaccinated, not one significant problem.
Now he's making racist divisive remarks. Sometimes enough is enough
I support the Nets and any employer and any private citizen and everyone to make decisions that are best for their lives. And I support Kyrie's decisions too. One just has to understand actions have reactions, it's not a one way street
Again, I'm not the person taking away anyone's freedom, the people critical of me are. Oh the irony, I know
