Trying to judge a person's location by his IP number is retarded given the prevalence of dynamic IP's, proxies etc. My IP shows up in the Netherlands, but I'm American and currently accessing from the UK.

btw, also got this earlier in the day:

Hello Jonny,

It is true that we have chosen to no longer take deposits from residents of Maryland.
This has nothing to do with gaming legislation. The State of MD asked us to register to transfer money from their residents (this means take deposits from them) to NETeller. As a Canadian money transmitter, there is no need for us to register in Maryland or any other State However, while we are in dispute we have chosen not to accept deposits form that state. This is a decision we have taken for now; we will continue to monitor the situation and may elect to turn MD back on at some point in the future. We are NOT, dealing with similar issues with any other States and do not anticipate any such actions.

Regards,

With this CO going public in London, you can expect a lot of changes. Add in the fact BIG BROTHER pressure. Well you get the Ideal.

So what's the status on this then? Did NETeller re-open all Maryland accounts or just some?

Shrink, what did you learn on this subject?

My account has been reopened also. I spoke with a Neteller rep who told me that, as far as he knows, everything is back to how it was (MD customers can use all features of Neteller except depositing). He did not know whether this was just a temporary or a permanent development, or even why the accounts were closed in the first place. In short, he was very sympathetic and pleasant, but did not give much useful info. IMO, everything is temporary. It just depends on your time frame.

Not meaning to change the subject, but does anyone here simply request checks from their sportsbook(s) if not in any great rush for the funds.
I don't live in Md. but if the people running that state can do this then I have NO reason to think Other states will not in the future. Hey they are all looking for revenue!
