I used to subscribe to all kinds of services—-one of them would provide the “square “ plays info. I would handicap and then cut games I picked that 70% of public were on. When it is was all said and done , the square plays won enough to where I saw no advantage to following along.

I have thrown that and all other stuff out the window this year—-ken pom, Bart torvik,etc, as I found I was over analyzing in an attempt to be “sharp.” I am not sharp at all, but I don’t care anymore about being on a sharp or public play—I just want to be on the winning side.

have to be impressed with Ind fort wayne this year, they play S.dakota today laying 3 on a neutral court, they do have a common opponent Depaul, and IPFW did get them easily, and S.dakota did lose to them, both teams have been scoring, but the o/u is 155 or 155.5 i think, i think i feel more safe , taking IPFW -3 here, kind of do favor the over, but Ipfw but i do think its close, they do not have the lines up on the championships , those are some i am interested in , last night i took Ohio-16 its now 17 took w.carolina -4 its now -6 , and clev st -6 they are 7.5 so did happen to get 3 games early and was ahead of the line move, all on my own , don't mean it will win

about how i feel, i have never used them, ken pom is just a rating really never used it, i just look at past games, look at scoring average, defensive average, who shoots better 3's and ft's and its early for those stats still, and when you have teams playing div 2 and 3 schools those will be inflated , they will get more useful as games are played

taking Lamar+12 vs Pacific lamar played SMU tough away losing by 11, they just beat UTSA at home 90-82 , Pacific is nothing special here, both teams picked near the bottom of their conf's Lamar avg 78 points a game Pacific 61, lamar gives up 77, pacific 80, pacific lost to sam houston by 7 did beat Cal, but last game lost by 50 to Nevada, i just think 12 is a bit high here, so ill take a shot with Lamar , Lamar has been avg 14 offensive rebounds a game to just 6 for Pacific, they are making 19 ft's of 23 avg and Pacific is 9/14 , lamar 7 blocks a game to just 2 for pacific , they both shoot the same % ..Lamar is taking about 10 more shots a game , they both avg 24 3's a game with Lamar making 9.5 to 7 for pacific , it's basketball on any given night , so just going with averages here and hope they each do their avg if they do Lamar should cover i think

man you would think if i can sit there and say i am making a play a small play because the line just does not make sense, and i say that too in hopes that anyone maybe following knows i have doubts about it or i would not say it, and here Clev st loses outright, so i lose another small play, all 3 small plays last 2 days i have lost, i should not have even played them if for some reason i do not like them enough to make a regular play, OHIO U won and covered the 16 , so if ya read my games today hopefully you laid off Clev st and did play OHIO,

Fordham -pk for tomorrow, yes i had abilene in their game, but i think i was more impressed with what fordham did , and also taking Furman over Wyoming -6 tomorrow also, the Vermont game is a tough one, they have played well, but i do think i favor Liberty right now i do have to look into it, it seems that betting the day before is something new...lol when we all know it is not, for years i have posted write ups the night before on games going the next day, it's not anything new

also liking the over in the Furman game, i just do not see wyoming holding them under 80+, wyoming still had too amny turnovers, but charleston shot horribly and i do not see Furman doing that , only worry is can Wyoming score 70? , this is 153.5 at bookmaker

wayyy off on Marist they got crushed , and have to get the totals better, needed 150 got 143, , won ipfw, and longwood, both those teams are pretty good , IPFW was the OVER play to have they went over 170, caannot believe w.carolina missing something for sure, , need to get back to good old fashioned handicapping, these teams are starting to get enough games to where you can go by stats, and stuff, like the Lamar play , seeing 2 equal teams but a huge line , they lost 77-76, they were up 8 at half time too
, it was tied at 58 at the 8 minute mark but Lamar took the lead again and were up by 7 with 3 minutes left the were up 4 and then got stuck on 76 , they were up 76-72 with 1:22 left and just did not score, they maybe should have won, but thats what has to happen, dig into games, looking for a good match up with a flawed line, pen paper and some work, hopefully can get this turned better 10-10 3-2 it takes time,

Gardner Webb was up 50-48 with 2:11 left in the game, W Carolina was up 5 at half, and really was never up by more than 6, they were up 3 with 2 minutes so had every chance to cover just couldn't , Marist was a horrible play period itas always did ya win or not, but there is more to it, to look and see how ya lost or won is important, it helps for games later on, and to just know they were not out right bad picks, a play here or there , but thats hoops ...i think it will get worked out..BETNOW does 5 pt teasers at even money

Furman shooting 48.7% eff shooting 56.6% shooting the 2 at 62%, and the 3 at 33.7%. they are taking 63 shots a game making 30 of them, taking 29 3's making 10....Wyoming is shooting 44% eff shooting 50%, making the 2 at 52.9% and the 3 at 29%, they take 52.7 shots a game making 23.7 shots a game, they take 18 3's making 5.2 a game....Furman takes 22 ft's and make 16, wyo takes 25 making 19.....Wyoming avg 35 1st half pts, Furman 39, 2nd half pts Wyoming avg 36 and Furman 48 ...Wyo 19 turnovers a game to 13 for Furman, thats the Huge thing for Wyoming right now is their turnovers, their turnover/play % is 22.4% they are almost last in the NCAA , Furmans is 15.2% , wyoming is not going to be able to have 18-20 turnovers, last game Charleston had twice as many shot attempts but they just shot horribly, Furman i do not think will if they get the turnovers, the total in this is now 153.5 at both my books now,

4-7 today 2 totals i followed the chess player at covers, my thing with him is he does not handicap, he uses line moves and goes with them, thank god i looked at the games myself and chose not to follow the other 2, but do not want to hate, my choice and it was a bad one, sorry if ya followed, why i liked cappersmall, i never looked at another site all the years i was there, didn't care, like i said going to go back to my old way and hopefully i can turn this around still above 50% or damn close, don't brag, just try to do well, and explain why i like a team, the thing about betting OVERS when you have a Creighton playing a nobody is that the Nobody may not score many points, i even wrote that on the thread, and that is about what happened on those overs with byu and creighton they scored others didn't and i was right by saying the fav's would most likely cover, i just needed to listen to myself they both covered i think

going to go with Tenn Martin tomorrow over prarie view-4 prarie beat Abilene last game by 5 , but it was only because of foul shots, like 79-74 Abilene took 11 more shots they were 23/60 while PV was 21/49 PV only made 4 3's and took just 10, but they made 33 of 34 ft's while abilene made 23 they were out rebounded also , TM comes in after beating a very good EKY team at EKY 80-74 TM took 74 shots in the game EKY took 79, TM was 34/74 11/26 from 3 and they only got 3 ft's when you can win on the road when the other team gets 5 more shots and 8 more ft's your doing something right , game is on a neutral court, TM is the better shooting team, they average fewer turnovers, and like 8 fewer fouls a game, i think as long as PV does not get 35 ft's TM should win and cover here, last game TennMartin played EKY only got like 9 ft's so they did not foul a lot , i'll lay the 4 here, Tenn Martin -4 -120 1 unit like it up to 6
