"Heat only laying 2. Must be a trap! The books must know Atlanta is gonna win!"

LOL
Damn, is that game over already? Sure was fast

Dud anyone around here actually
When Love went to Cleveland, I called him “white Chris Bosh” as he is a great stat guy for a bad team but will be the odd man out with 2 other studs.

I do love Bosh though.

that HEAT/spurs was such an awesome series but was hard to enjoy when I had a dog in the race and couldn’t casually watch as a fan

didn’t realize Miller was a starter but for the HEAT, the final 5 is MORE important than the starting 5

PHX was like 3-48 last game from 3. And they won.

Cam Johnson and Bridges about to go off. Add a Cam Payne in there. Im saying 15-25 between the 3 of them. It's about to be RAINING in 'Nawlins.
It did rain in New Orleans good call

I didn't imply that. I said that rumors are rumors. That's all. We fans in Boston knew that Kyrie was no damned fit here. We've been watching the makeup of Champonship teams for years. We know what it doesn't look like. I am sure that Danny Ainge knew that too. But you like your buddy, Av, assume because Kyrie is a shiny thing that the Celts were all in to sign him. That's what the talking heads said. Not me. And no knowledgeable Boston fan wanted him back. We were ecstatic to get Kemba.
You really pulled this out of your ass. I like Kyrie? Maybe read my comments before you make assumptions.

However, the truth is the truth. No matter if you like it(someone) hate it or indifferent.

C's would have signed(with out question) Kyrie to a max deal the second the clock turned to midnight if he had showed any indication he would sign. He spent half that last season telling Boston "he out."

Which in hindsight turned out great. But revisionist history just because you don't care for someone and it turned out in your favor is still a lie and bullshit.

I believe it was boston fans clapping like trained seals when Kyrie told you guys he was coming back to C's long term during that 1st season. But hell don't like facts stand in the way.

You showed him the door. Like Brooklyn showed Harden the door, sure. :)

I don't like Irving as a player. I don't think he cares much for basketball, much like Ben Simmons.

But going to defend the truth. Even if i don't care for someone.

I appreciate all the Basketball loses AV is attributing to me even though i haven't made a pick in around 2 weeks(outside of utah series pick yesterday). Apparently i had the hawks(last night) and nets a few nights back. Hopefully the sports books won't knock on my door to collect.

Continue luck Green Fruit on your $0 wagers.

I was ecstatic when the C's obtained Kyrie. After two years of watching him destroy team chemistry, hearing he's a problem in the locker room, running his own offense, and dribbling for 22 seconds before heaving an awful shot, I wanted Cryrie Irving run out if town.

He's not part of any solution. He's the center of most problems. The C's couldn't possibly be the team that they are with him still there. Tatum and Brown are simply much better people.

A few talking heads said the C's should try to keep Kryrie, they're stupid fucks. I heard Sir Charles say the C's fans are mad because he left them at the alter, clueless.

He fucked up the team, set us back two years, and stomped on the logo. Fuck Kryie, he's never getting past the still youthful C's. Soon enough, Nets fans will run him out of town.

Emotions aren't facts.

C's could have traded him, but didn't. Because they hope they could repair relationship.

This isn't an argument worth having...no matter each person's personal thoughts....end of day C's management wanted to sign him to max.

Remember also, things change quickly in sports. Its all warm and fuzzy with Boston fans and management/team right now. But if they get taken out in 2nd round by Bucks it will he more of..."is Tatum an actual super star?"...."all those Boston picks and they could never transition it into a super star to put along side Tatum." "Do C's need to trade Jalen brown to improve?"

Shit moves fast.

Nah. Boston is a very good team with HC ADV. Bucks will also be without Middleton(Celtics killer) for at lest start of series.

At the trade deadline things had not gone south so bad yet and it was going to be his first season with team in playoffs, that’s different than after losing 4 straight to end the season in rd 2, guy playing awful, behavior etc.

I doubt the Celts ever had to truly decide between Irving and kemba since they probably knew Irving was gone weeks before free agency started. Kemba > Irving > losing him for nothing I think would’ve been the order of preference. He was only 27 at the time so they could’ve dealt him after that, whereas now his trade value is basically the same as yours (if you were in the nba)

Great take. Irving has no trade value.

Lol. The idiocy is off the charts.

Right now? He wouldn’t bring back anything close to what his perceived value as a player is. Especially at what his contract will be.

jesus

30 year old 6’1 guys who are 1 dimensional scorers with a history of injuries and malcontent behavior just don’t really fetch a lot in return. If you want to give an example of what you think could be obtained for him if the nets were to explore dealing him in 6 months after he signs his next extension, feel free.

Not the most interesting discussion but a lot more so than the nets bball prospects in ‘22

If the nets resign Kyree to a massive deal, then he loses his trade value.

If Kyree will be on his last year on his contract for this upcoming season, then his trade value will rise as a team may pick his expiring contract for cap space for upcoming free agency

Lol. Nets about to max him out themselves.

I thought maybe I misread and you were talking about Kemba. But I guess I was correct.

The fact anyone ever thought Kemba was better then Irving is LOL bullshit. His own team let him walk and preferred Terry rozier.

But we are all entitled to our opjnion.

Omg. Sure. Lol.

Can't believe I have to be the one defending Kyrie Irving.

Yes. Irving is just cap space now. Omg you guys are nuts.

You are being obtuse

He just wouldn’t net much of a return given everything with his career. But perhaps it only takes 1 team to give something of value.

Either way I was just saying he had more value 3 years ago than now so if Celts resigned him they could trade him which would’ve been an option rather than lose him for 0 with no replacement. What his trade value is now is kinda irrelevant given Nets are pot committed to him at this point.
