Ugh if only this guy switched places with Dwayne Haskins for one weekend. Just one!

Teams should do anything to avoid Nets.

Nets would've been the biggest disappointment of the weekend if the Tampa Bay Bandits (also preseason favs to win it all) didn't get waxed 34-3 by New Orleans Breakers
haha

What sport is that? Is Chop doing funny stuff in his pants right now?

nah, the point is to make costs incredibly cheap by putting every team in 1 city and then generate fan interest/tv ratings to branch out to putting the teams in their cities eventually

I doubt it works, no one is gonna watch bad football in the spring (best idea to me is clearly to run it right after the superbowl when there is nothing from mid Feb to mid April besides March Madness......even that probably wouldn't work but seems obvious ideal time)

This is a piece on their plan. Again, don't see it working really.

You are a bucks fan, right? Didn’t they lose on purpose in their final game to avoid the 2 seed?

Looking bad now since the Celts will have HCA and they got 1 of the better HCA's in the league and the Nets look like they would have problems with a healthy Bucks squad but that clearly felt like the smart move at the time to me. The Bulls have been terrible for months and the Nets did give the Bucks issues last year, Nets had different personnel but still Durant came close to beating the Bucks without Irving and Harden on 1 leg.

NBA playoffs very competitive, hard to turn down a series where you are -1300 vs being say -160

Having watched 5 minutes of USFL what they need to do is let the people go to the games for free and sell concessions at cost .

Watching a game on TV with only 20 people in the stands is a real buzz kill.
This league is not going to live or die at the gate anyway .
It’s gonna be all about what kind of television contract they gonna get .

Sure you want the gate to be part of the future revenue but for now you need presentation.

watching a game with live stands and atmosphere adds a ton of value to a tv presentation

The tickets are $10 and kids get in free

If you make the tickets straight free in Birmingham Alabama then my guess is that becomes more trouble than it’s worth. They atleast wanna charge them the cost of a few coffees

Yeah XFL was better talent/fans/production. I would bet that league, had like 5-6 bets before it folded. PJ Walker was the Brady of that league basically, backup for panthers now.

They started after SB rather than when nba/nhl playoffs going and mlb back up as well as weather is nicer so people not in front of tv as much. Supposedly it is coming back next year.
