Put in the Celtics bet last night for game 4.
Hesitating slightly , only because Jimmy coming back into lineup could give them surge offensively .

Number also down to 6.5 from 7

Will prob pull trigger on Boston too tho

With win last night Warriors have won at least one road game in 26 consecutive playoff series, extending their NBA record

It’s possible that streak ends in the finals but it seems very unlikely

They’ll have home court vs either team so likely going to require two home losses to not win title. Again possible, but seems unlikely given they haven’t lost at home yet this postseason

The "We Believe" season

2007 second round against the Jazz as an 8 seed (the year they knocked off the #1 seeded Mavericks)

Didn't make postseason again until 2013 playoffs, when streak started.

So as you can deduce: their core of Curry/Klay/Draymond has never played a series without winning a road game.

I remember going to game 3 of the HEAT/bulls 1st rd playoff series that year. After the game was game 3 between the warriors and mavs and remember seeing all those "we believe" signs. I remember watching some of the game at a restaurant at bayside down here.

This was on HD was first coming out and I remember the crowd looking like bumble bees with all that yellow

Yep and Warriors still had those funky jerseys with the Zeus dude. Baron Davis running the show.

Even with all of the Warriors success recently locals love to talk about that team/era

The bumble bee shit hasn’t changed. I went to Game 2 Friday and collected one of those shirts

Unfortunately has the cringe slogan “Gold Blooded” on it . Not as good as “We Believe”

Lol yep.

Funny thing is Baron sometimes tries to attach himself to this current era. Can’t really blame him I guess, best thing since the Bulls

Speaking of We Believe, (and not taking away from Wigs last night cause that was devistating)...but Baron's was better. It mean't more, who AK47 was and it put the Warriors on the map. 8 vs 1. etc. That dunk loosend a few screws off of ROaracle Arena's roof. Then they tried to throw a tech at him for lifting his jersey which stalled the game more and gave a chance for the crowd to go bananas.

Yeah I'd agree with that.

Isn't a joke that they called the Wiggins dunk a charge initially? Like wtf that's a clear no-coul, a foul on Luka if anything

Those refs tried to aid Boston and Dallas in their buildings in the Game 3's. Hopefully we get better officiating in Game 4's, but I doubt it.

Media narrative gonna be that Luka didn't get enough help

He predictably putting up great stats, shooting decently well. But he's getting absolutely demolished on defense. Warriors just clowning the fuck out of him. Never seen Wiggins eyes open up like that, or a team target a superstar like that.

He needs to drop a couple pounds and work on defense before he enters that best player convo. A little tweaking on 3pt shooting wouldn't hurt either.

Another one for ya:

If they finish off Dallas, they will have won 18 consecutive playoff series against the big, bad Western Conference.

That's on similar level, probably more impressive than LeBron currently winning 25 consecutive playoff series against the East.

So once you get past x's and o's that Warriors seem to have edge in over Celtics and Heat, they have all those intangibles working for them too. Championship mettle, pedigree, etc.

Miami at least has Spo , Boston has none of that shit.

They keep talking about how the Warriors haven't seen a team like Boston or Miami yet. Are you kidding me? The Warriors championship core have seen it all. To further the point, there's a reason the Warriors call it "The Death Line Up". 5 legitimate scoring threats on the floor at any given time running and moving at a fast break pace. (including off the bench). When humming the Warriors offense is indefensible. Especially now that the Warriors are taking what the defense give them and not relying on 3's. It breaks down the floor even more. Both Steph and Klay have yet to get hot together in a game.

Going on day 3 now with your hissy fit. Jeez. I guess I must have really done a number on you.

You've honestly seemed pretty unstable these past few days. Everything ok bro? I'm starting to get a little concerned.

My short term memory sucks at the moment. GSW missed the playoffs these last 2 seasons?

18 in a row is VERY impressive. They are a fun team to watch (and funny how many kids are warriors fans in south florida)

I still remember having a big money line play on SA vs the dubs around (2011 or 12 maybe?) When steph and klay were still young pups and they were draining 3's like crazy. This was a playoff game during the week. Luckily the spurs came back from down big or i would have owed a crap load of $$$$. I remember being a weekeday b/c i was tired as hell the next day at work. When u mentioned that streak, i was wondering if it started vs the spurs

I still think Lebron's streak vs the EAST is more impressive. Maybe b/c i rooted for Lebron from 2011-2014 and some of those series were crazy intense (Indy and Boston come to mind). I also rooted against Lebron after 2014 but it seems like the east was pretty weak during those playoffs runs although there was probably a good team or 2 in that mix that i am forgetting

The HEAT still have to get to 4 wins in this series (and no guarantee that they do) but its funny how GSW would have home court advantage over them b/c a few months ago, GSW won in Miami w/out Steph, Klay, and Draymond. 1 game earlier, the HEAT lost in philly w/out harden and embiid. Would be nice to have home court for the finals.

Until then, winning 2 out of the next 5 vs the C's is no easy task. I have tix for sunday nite and hoping NOT to go

Probably the best post in this thread.

Not sure what the point of bringing up the East having better teams was. Like does Boston get extra credit for having a tougher path to the Finals or something???

Warriors more battle-tested than any of these teams in the grand scheme of things, and not even close. Nothing is gonna scare them

Mavs have made more 3's than Warriors in all 3 games so far. And they have Luka. And they haven't won a game yet. Warriors stereotype is that they just scorch you from 3, but reality is they just have a much better overall offense than any team left , rely on the 3 the least of any teams remaining. I guess having the two best three-point shooters of all time on your team will make that stereotype hard to shake though.

As for the Splash Brothers: It's been rare to even see one of them hot in a game, let alone both of them in same game. They start getting hot, then it's game over.

Obviously a championship is no guarantee, we should all respect variance, but seeing these arguments for Boston being better is pretty lame.
