Yeah, I have a big bet going on Aoki right now too. The line got a little better since a lot of big bettors are tailing trixtrix's Uno pick.

The even is at 2am tonite PST. They are in Japan so, yes, there's a time difference. Same problem we had when PRIDE was around. Really late night MMA.

who is that ? :think2:

I just rewatched Uno vs Hansen fight and Aoki would sink over 10 subs on Caol if he fought in there instead of Hansen . I think Aoki will take this by sub .

I don't like using that as an example in your handicapping because Uno would not have fought the same way against Aoki as he did against Hansen. Hansen has a solid ground game and all but you don't need to use nearly as much concentration against Hansen because he doesn't pull shit out of his ass like Aoki.

PS, I am on Uno. Top control and GNP and avoid the subs. Uno is a veteran and pretty crafty himself. Very hard to submit.

Will be a good fight either way. Good luck to everyone. May the best man win.

If you want a good reason to bet on Aoki, I'd put less confidence in the conspiracy theories and more in the fact that Aoki is bigger and better than Uno. Uno maybe has the striking advantage, but Aoki has neutralized far better strikers in Mach Sakurai and JZ. Uno showed good takedown defense against Ishida, but Aoki will find a way to get it to the ground in a different way. Once he gets those long limbs around Uno, Uno won't be able to move and Aoki will eventually find a submission.

Well I was close. How did Uno not tap to that triangle. Rogan: "That is DEEP!!"

That triangle was slick as hell. Great ground work from Aoki as always. I don't think I've ever seen a triangle in that deep and the guy not tap. I figured my bet was dead at that point.
