REP, you made a remark that we were all certainly betting out of a $100 roll, yet when someone offers a challenge in which you allegedly have a huge edge, you can't put up 10K? Ummm... believe it or not, this forum has some big-leaguers. It might not be a good idea to demean our bankrolls if you can't put up 10K on such a juicy proposition.
Secondly, you offer betting posting privileges as an alternative. This is moronic on many different levels. First, FZ is a respected poster that is valued on the forum, whereas you are the current laughingstock of the forum. Hardly seems fair, eh? Second, what would stop the losing poster from creating another handle and continuing to post. Third, no one actually believes that if you lost you would accept the judge's opinion and go quietly into the night. You'd rant and rave and tell us how ignorant we are. Fourth, how is posting equal in value to 10K??? He's obviously not scared, and I'm assuming you'd take the socialism side, so he has a huge advantage topic-wise. He is simply looking to maximize value for his efforts.
Third, and this is my biggest concern, is you're broad generalization of posters (in this case FZ). Fester and I have enormously differing opinions on myriad political issues, but I know that he has the good of common people at heart, and I greatly respect him. Further, I have read a lot of his posts, and it is apparent that he is highly educated. But you claim to "know" that you have him intellectually outclassed.. This doesn't make sense. What if Stephen Hawking is posting on therx forum under the handle "FesteringZit?" Do you still win the IQ test? To take a bet like this seems to be wildly -EV, which leads me to question your gambling judgment in the first place. To advocate such a test so vehemently, you must have an IQ 4 or 5 standard deviations above the average person's. But this clearly isn't the case, as your elementary dialogue and ad hominem attacks clearly indicate.
I think you'll find that many members of this forum are much smarter than you give them credit for. I would certainly take an IQ bet for a reasonable amount of money with you if 1) there was a reliable testing method readily available to both of us (there isn't) and 2) I trusted you (I don't).
