Well fellas.. It's officially day 2 of the main event. This is the most important day of this series so far. Making it through day one isn't much of a feat with the deep stacks vs. the long low blind levels. Day 2 is where the men separate themselves from the boys. This is the day that seems to set the tone for the main event. Today you will see a lot of the field get thinned and the big stacks start separating themselves from the field. You will see a select handful of players bag up some monster stacks tonight. If you can make the big folds, make plays at the right spots, run good, play well you can set a tone of making a deep run today. I'm hoping for a decent table draw and good position at my table. I will keep you guys updated on both unk and myself.
Unk is officially awake and already drinking. I tried to wake him up to coffee... He prefers Johnny walker and a Winston full flavor. I have to get you guys a picture. He is wearing cutoff jean shorts that look like they have survived a war or two and a Harley Davidson shirt that barely has any picture/writing left on it due to the years of sun fading and washing. He's going to take a ride over to the HD shop on the strip with me. I told him I'd buy him a new shirt. There is something refreshing about a guy who really couldn't give a shit what anyone thinks about them. I like to believe I'm that way, but I'm obviously fooling myself. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing what he is wearing. I told you guys earlier about his old school flip phone with the duct tape as the battery holder. I looked at it today... The duct tape has pen/market writing on it... It is his personal phonebook. There are names and phone numbers written on it! I fucking love this guy!
I just ran into a local player that I have played Midwest tournaments for years with. We need to pull for this guy. I promise this guy will make the wsop coverage more entertaining than ever. He is the overall chip leader going into day 2 with a massive stack of almost 250k. This guy is a absolute trip and loves to talk shit and get into the heads of the kids. He is a massive guy. Probably 6'3" 290 lbs. this guy is as country as it gets. Good luck Mark Kroon!
I told you guys I had a friend that played at unk's table day 1 when GSP was at their table. I asked my friend if unk had any interaction with GSP. He said "oh yeah" he said unk asked him who he was, because fans were swarming. When told that he cage fights, unk said "that sounds really fucking stupid" "and you make some kind of a living fighting?" Pokernews reported that GSP made a rookie mistake of folding on the turn on a checked turn when he was last to act. Unk spoke up "hey dumbfuck, you ain't gotta fold.. He checked to you." I guess he mentioned later "all those asskickins must have affected your brain." He obviously has no clue who GSP is, and really could care less. He is far from impressed.
