Today is the 5k 7 card stud split 8 or better, one of my favorite events of the summer. I feel I have a solid edge here against the competition. I busted yesterday's 6 handed event late last night. I was nursing a short stack and shoved 14 BB from the small blind in a uncontested pot with 77, BB woke up with A10... Ace in the window. Pretty standard spot. I did end up making 5500 playing PLO before bed, only to drop 1800 on the craps table. The ring games are banging for it being this early in the series. Headed down to play some PLO, then a nap before the late start of today's event. #whynotme!

Busted just outside the money, nothing too notable. Just a bad run of cards and got short. I was at one of the toughest tables I've ever played at. The play was amazing. Not a complete loss though. I win a 5k last longer with a friend, and got to rub that in. I did pick up 4600 playing PLO last night. The PLO action is just insane for this early in the series, I'm glad PLO is picking up steam with plenty of new players. I'm scheduled to play the 1.5k horse tournament today. My roomie won this tournament last year, and I'm hoping to take that title. Dumb me, decides to book a 5K last longer with none other than last years champ... Bye bye 5K!
