Congrats on save 201 craig !!

Craig Kimbrel, facing his former team for the second time in the series, earned his 15th save in 16 chances with a perfect 11th that included Andrelton Simmons' groundout and strikeouts by Christian Bethancourt and pinch-hitter.

CINCINNATI (AP) -- Hard-throwing Reds reliever Aroldis Chapman has set a major league record for the fastest to reach 500 career strikeouts.
Chapman, who routinely throws over 100 mph, reached the mark when he fanned pinch-hitter Giovanny Urshela to end the 10th inning Sunday in Cincinnati's game against Cleveland.
The All-Star lefty needed just 292 innings to reach 500 strikeouts. The previous mark was by San Diego's Craig Kimbrel, who got to 500 in his 305th inning on May 25.
Chapman went into Sunday's game with 495 strikeouts in 290 innings since joining the Reds in 2010.

One of the most over-rated stats in sports

Was about to say the same thing. It may very well be THE most over rated stat in sports. It's silly. Whenever I bring it up, people look at me like I have 5 heads....I cannot believe people believe in closers.

I don't disagree with that.

Doesn't change the fact that Chapman is more dominant.

I would think that if you polled all the hitters in the league who they would rather face, the majority would choose to face Kimbrel. I have no way to prove this of course, but Chapmans 103 fastballs are just so much more over powering than anything kimbrel has.

Not even close to true

Chapman's slider is vicious

Also, you can't compare their velocity. Kimbrel's average is 97. Chapman in the 2014 season hit 102 mph or higher 111 times. Kimbrel did it ZERO times.

Chapman also holds the best strikeout ratio in the history of baseball. That is the definition of domination.
