This is the best post in this thread. A great thing about sports is everyone has an opinion and they’re entitled to it. The trash and bashing on this forum has gone to new heights, it’s annoying and hard to be a part of. Good luck on who you take.

So different sources in different locations have a different team of the two (Bama & Michigan) that has the most wagers and most money overall. Isn't a lot of the money wagered in the last 2 hours? We are >2 hours from kickoff. So what do we actually know?

Touts? I think in the long run going against the consensus might yield a small win percentage, and yes some touts are more profitable to fade, but when you talk about one isolated game I do not think it should affect handicapping.

WHAT I am going by today is:
  • more and deeper, elite athletes at Bama
  • in far and away the most successful playoff conference (won the last 4, and 5 of the last 6) with some blowouts
  • beat two time national champ undefeated Georiga in the SEC Championship
  • coached by an all time elite championship winning coach
  • with an emerging star run / pass QB, top notch OL, overall defense, no real weaknesses
  • versus a Big Ten team that beat a weak Iowa team in the conference championship, and stunk it up badly the last two years in the playoffs
  • location close to Bama, IMO Bama plays better on artificial turf with their incredible speed and power
  • ... and more

A couple of rebuttals: The Georgia team they beat was not led by the QB that won the National Championship in those two years and Alabama lost at home this season. I think Michigan has the better QB today.

Normally you would see a number 1 team undefeated play a # 4?by at least 3 points yet we see under 3 for a month -that tells me most on bama -whose gonna win nobody knows

Here’s what I see for GOY’s on this game So let me know if I missed anything.

Mich
Executive 600
Smart Money 5u (I assume this is a Goy)
20u Midwest Mike
Wayne Root Pinnacle GOY
Brian Bitler 10* (another assumption)

Bama
Mark Lawrence
Spartan - he has many 3*’s but labeled this one as GOY

I don't think this year ga team is as good as last year. Bama not the same either. Bama Ga game was a great game. I think michigan a better team this year.

That why they play the game! A lot of good cappers her are split just like casino as mentioned seem split. Should be a great game. I personally think this game is the championship game. Meaning the best two teams in the playoff are playing each other today.

Carson Beck is considered by most experts to be a better QB than Stetson Bennet, though most thought highly of Stetson (I sure did).

Today, yes I give the (close) nod to McCarthy though McCarthy played against weaker competition, Bama played in the SEC and played #8 toughest SOS (Sagarin) compared to Michigan's 56. Milrose, IMO has evolved over the course of the season and it would not be a shocker if he wins MVP today.

QBs are a big key but I will take the other Bama 21 starters, overall, over Michigan's.

Bama lost at home, sure, very early in the season (to a good Texas team) that is NOW irrelevant, new starting QB was not quite ready---then they went undefeated in the SEC. IMO Michigan would not go undefeated in the SEC.

( I did NOT go to an SEC school, by the way)

This is a nightmare matchup for UM!
