I understand that, but a catch weight is better than throwing a scrub in there like Alvarez or Pettis (yes, I think his golden days are over). And it's definitely better than cancelling the fight completely. People take fights on 6 days notice. shit, last week, guy lost 26 pounds in that time frame.

I don't like the Cerrone matchup either, but it's a way better option than the 55er's blowing up Twitter. Evan Dunham...lol

Fair enough, I just see it like this: Conor likes money, so I think he wants to fight. The UFC likes money, so the more times they have Conor on a PPV, the better. So then it's just a matter of finding someone who Conor matches up well with. Chad was able to take down Conor and control him for a round. Guys like Khabib and Alvarez would have that gameplan. If they did that for 5 rounds against Conor, that would be disastrous for their current golden goose. OTOH, Cerrone has shown he has a difficult time with pressure-forward fighters who attack the body (RDA, Nate, Showtime). That is Conor's game.

Well well, the Diaz fight will take place at 170 lbs.

Sucks, because he's gonna smash Diaz and then we will hear nonstop about this "I'm the greatest from 145-170" BS!
