I couldn't make sense of the line move against Chicago. No Hamid or DeRo and Pontius a late scratch too and it continued to get knocked down to -128ish. Wish I would have played it for bigger stakes but I'm always a tad hesitant to fade moves close to kickoff.
Mexico continues to be largely unimpressive but glad they pulled it out for the treble winner. I still think the US is the clear favorite especially with the Besler, Gonzalez call-ups. I don't rate El Salvador at all but just don't see any attractive ways to play against them. They may get a bit of a lift too from the pro-El Salvador crowd in Baltimore. I like Costa Rica as well but line looks spot on.

didn't touch it but saw that move before match as well. similar line at HT with +2.5 -148 but gonna pass. there were times in middle of first half when ESA had no prayer of defending the US. they'll have to push forward which can leave some spaces. only interesting HT bet is -105 for one team to score 4 or more goals as it looks like the US have another pair in them.
so can wrap up sunday....1-1 in puebla for losss of .5u
early lines are USA -165 over Panama which look a bit generous to me...I'd have priced it -200. To me teams are still playing on different levels even though this is essentially USA's B team vs Panama's A team. No bet needed as I have that money riding on USA +115 to win this tourney but otherwise would be on USA -1/2 or wait for -3/4 which should come in around -110. Only concern is that the US haven't really been tested at all. Their one close match, CR, wasn't really played for anything so if Panama hang around we'll have to see how the US react. I'd love to see them run the board with a 6-0-0 cup like in 2007 although this year would be far more impressive as they won every KO-stage match by just 2-1 scores and finished the tourney 13/3 goal differential where in 2013 they're sitting at a 19/4 differential already. Not expecting an easy match Sunday but as long as the defense can deal with set pieces a 3-1 or 2-0 win sounds about right

Chicago 1H under is a stats play as they're 1/4 in first halves away from home while Houston just 3/3 in first halves at home. Vancouver 7-3-0 at home, 6-1-1 vs east (incl 4-0-0 home) but played perhaps one of the worst MLS games of the year last week. Philly no turf win in 2 years and just 2 wins, out of 7, vs west in 2013. Signs are there with Vancouver, as i saw with montreal, that the bottom will fall out soon...hopefully not this week but can't pass up laying 1/4 on unbeaten home team that is tops in MLS in intraconference matches

this is my biggest issue with how the mls is run....totally ridiculous that after this long we still have no idea when matches will be played. Consistency is key to getting fans involved. I know as a Premier League fan that there will be matches at 7:45am, 10am, 12:30pm every saturday and another pair staggered for sunday morning. In mexico there will be two friday matches (usually 8 and 10:30), saturday games at 6pm, 8pm, and 10pm and at least one sunday game at 1pm.
NFL i know will have nfl network game on thur night, cbs and fox at 1pm and 4pm on sun, nbc on sun night, espn on mon night. easy as that. Try figuring out what channel these MLS matches are on each week
MLS? never have a clue. Yesterday one at 2pm, a big group at 7pm, one at 9:30, another at 10:30? Then you get a lone sunday match and it's on at 11pm? wtf? they know ahead of time the cup final is at 3:30 so why not start the match at 6:30 or 7pm when they know they can piggyback off people already watching football? just pathetic planning every week.
