this mit story is bs. this gavin guy just created a fictional story months before the season and hoped that he goes real hot in the first 2 weeks....and later he was going to ask money for the picks. if you read the first 10 or so posts from him in this thread, you can see his hidden intentions. read it again and you will see what I mean.

I've thought the same thing about this all being phony the entire time. I never went to MIT but my brother and dad collected a few degrees from there. I can assure you that this "class" is nearly fake. There's no way their "grade depends on it".

Why? Because the sample size is so small, anything close to 50/50 can be chalked up as variance.

dude, you are a phony...and the funny thing is you are now in denial that your plan didn't work. This thread has become nothing more than theater so just give it up. I understand the mob mentality and I can see your posts coming should you get lucky and actually come up with a winning record for a couple weeks....

1) "the guys have been working day and night on their thesis (or something) and they have finally worked out the kinks...now we're ready for a roll"

2) "the guys were able to find the problem, something to do with a statistic or something, but now the #'s all make sense and the picks have been profitable for 2 weeks now...."

3) "the professor was going to flunk them so they spent day and night on this thesis or something and have figured out what was wrong, I can't really explain it but now the picks should be good....looking for a great year."

Dude, please GIVE IT UP....it's embarrassing.

this is a project for a class, and these are just the ten strongest plays that are resulting from their program. Best of Luck

After reviewing most of your posts in other threads it seems that you are affiliated in some way with toutbusters.com, you mention them almost in all of your threads:laugh:

It's bizarre that the course syllabus (available publicly) doesn't have any mention of this project. It does, however, have mention of this in the syllabus:

"The final grade will be primarily based on problem sets, one in-class quiz, one take-home quiz,
and a final during final exam week."

No mention of a project like the one you're describing. Care to clarify?

We shall see, I've emailed the two professors and the 4 TAs asking if there were individuals working on this specific project.

By doing this you are being a complete dickhead. I wanted to keep this private...see dialouge throughout the thread, and here you go emailing the school inquiring...its your life but I'm sure many would agree that its a dickhead move
