Here is Glenn Close (who probably has sacrificed babies in Hollywood) in that famous movie:
Notice how they film the tent as a pyramid (think logically), the pillow is a checkerboard and is purposely knocked over and then as she exits they show the child in a red shirt/sweater. Red shirt/sweater is one of the favorite child sacrifice emblems.
NOTE: Finding the checkerboard is only worth a few points. Finding examples of their child sacrifice passion is worth LOTS of points. Update if you find examples.

This. The early movie producers were Freemasons so they incorporate a lot of that in their movies. Checkerboard signifies good vs. evil as you say and there is usually conflict in scenes where it is present.
Also as we see in that representation from the cathedral, many European cathedrals have checkerboard floors. That reflects a Templar influence.
Also look for conflict in stairways, especially spiral staircases. This reflects the kundalini energy intertwining in our spine. The cadeuceus symbol is also represented as such. Those are the intertwining snakes on a pole.

On the Mission Impossible movie I set my stopwatch and did a countdown. It took a while but then it appeared. With this movie... Jesus Christ! They went checkerboard in the first 2 minutes. Then they went checkerboard later on in the movie when an abandoned gym had a checkerboard floor CGI'd into it.
The movie was loaded with mass propaganda. Checkerboard (((2))), Cats (((0))).

Saw another movie.... slept through half of it so I don't know if the checkerboard was there.

In the trailers they had that travelling London city movie.... and, yep, you guessed, what do you know.. a checkerboard.
I didn't see the checkerboard in this movie b/c I was asleep for most of it. But they did put in the upside-down hexagram as children's balloons... among some of their other Satanic symbols.
But the coup d'etat was there!!! They had the red child sacrifice dress scene that they love so much. And they even made here wear a red dress for some promo work with the pyramid purse:
