Good stuff GD.

I used to do something similar when watching soccer games by jotting down quick notes about specific team weaknesses or strengths that I noticed throughout the match and used them to see how they matched up against next week's opponents.

Its too bad you didn't get to watch the Santos v. America game since these are two teams you really want to keep your eye on this season. It was a very good game in which America displayed that their two men up top Moreno and Cabanas are going to be a force to be reckoned with while Santos' defense looked a bit rusty and their midfield somewhat lost without Luduena's creativity. (He should be back in 3-4 weeks)

Santos didn't look to shabby up front though and they could have actually won this game if it weren't for Ochoa's amazing performance defending America's goal.

I'll try to be back later tonight or tomorrow morning if I have any good insight in tomorrow and Sunday's matches.

Tecos 1 chivas 0

I was impressed with Tecos defense in first game and even more impressed tonight. They played the last hour of the game down a man and never made a mistake. They then took advantage of Chivas goalkeeper fatal error with the winning goal. (remember we talked about Chivas losing their GK in the Superliga, and even though the backup looked great last week, he made the slipup to cost them the game this week).

Could have been a much different game without the red card, but I don't like the over bet I made regardless in this rivalry.

Tecos plays a disciplined game, doesn't make mistakes, and has some firepower up front with Robert and Pony. They have impressed me a lot so far.

Good call on Monterrey PRO, easy win there.

Saturday: 2-3 (even units, money terms lost $37)

I will update after the weekend.

Jaguares looked like absolute shit, as did Necaxa (at least offensively) again.

Looks like I have a ways to go on the learning curve of Mexican soccer. When I looked at my bets Saturday, every line had moved in my favor. Despite getting good prices, results weren't there.

Could be an abberation, bad luck, or the truth.

Fri: 0-1, -1.0 (-130.50)
Sat: 2-3, ev (-37.00)
Sun: 0-2-1, 1.5(-174.00)

Jornada 2: 2-6-1, -2.5 units (-341.50 in dollar terms)

YTD: 8-10-1, -2.95 units (-365)

Santos really let me down, frustrating team to bet on. They outplay their opponents but can't win.

There is a game Wednesday night, San Luis/Cruz Azul.

My line I made was almost identical to what the book opened at, so I saw no value and will actually pass.

Last week's game notes upcoming.

tigres 3 JAGUARES 1

Not much to say other than Jaguares look absolutely abominable again. Red card in 26th minute, weak goal to open and atrocious defense.
They looked absolutely pathetic for the second week in a row.

MONTERREY 2 indios 0

Very cautious start from both sides. Monterrey dominating possession. Finally they break though. Indios are once again simply outclasses. Rayados look solid.

san luis 3 PACHUCA 2

Rainy day in Mexico. Pachuca plays a nice game at a controlled pace. Twice Pachuca could not hold a lead as they fell back on their heels.
Another goalfest and a solid away win for San Luis.

cruz azul 4 ATLAS 2

Beautiful bicycle kick sends the home crowd into hysterics. Cruz Azul with 3 goals in the last 15 minutes, quiets the crowd as Atlas completely fades. Another solid away win for a team that should contend.

NECAXA 0 puebla 0

Both teams with decent scoring chances in the first ten minutes.
Necaxa still showing poor offensive form.
Puebla controlling majority of action in their end.
Careful game, few good chances. Both sides content with the single point.

Necaxa pretty lifeless on the attack for the second game in a row.

MONARCAS 0 atlante 0

Neither team inspiring greatness.
Atlante playing very cautiously.
Monarcas getting deep penetration but can do nothing to convert.
Monarcas controlled action but could not put together good enough chances.
Crowd displeased with the less than stellar play.

SANTOS 1 pumas 1

Santos dominating early possession.
Shoddy Laguna defense leads to Pumas opener.
Santos finally comes to life and ties it up in 69th minute.
Less than a minute later, Santos gets a penalty awarded to them.
Terrible attempt is saved and Santos continues to frustrate backers.

It's been a wild couple of weeks.

I don't think that I will cont. w/ this league as I am gearing up for EPL, Serie A, La Liga and the Bundesliga. Will give SPL a trial run this week.

gl on FMF, GD...don't drink the water. :lolBIG::drink:

The big leagues kicking off should be fun. Having access to all the games and my quest to learn Spanish better should keep me watching some of these.
May scale the bets back a bit if I continue the downward trend.
