figure after getting blanked would be a good time to bring this up again..as I mentioned in post 11 I will not comment on performance for any particular night good or bad..if it's the latter you will obviously see it ..I say it because I don't want people to think that I'm not acknowledging it beyond posting the results..try to stay on an even keel and not get too caught up in the very good, bad or in-between of short term results

Tough track to cap for me

i put in a early pick 5 every week Jbex

I have a method that I feel is underplayed..I would not say it in an open forum because pools are so small at harness tracks in general..meadowlands has the biggest pools of course..I have no documentation or anything like that but playing it casually over many decades feel it's an edge method..my weakness is I'm a little too loose with it..decisions aren't black and while and there's definitely some feel involved with it

brilliant , I Was going to say that the linear is almost invisible at times and it becomes all about the feel,
well said Jb

it sends me in a good direction..then I have to take it from there..I'd say maybe 20-25% are no brainer plays and rest are gray area..some of those passes will of course win and that hurts especially at big prices..but that's part of the mental challenge

Have you ever tinkered with swapping the no brainer plays with the grey area plays. I find at times it creates more space and the creativity is able to flow more fluently . Since the game is non linear , instinct become paramount in identifying profitable oppurtunities on a consistent basis . I've tried everytning possible to create the perfect algorythim but i found it impossible as there are too many variables involved . I believe that value is non existent. If there is an edge to be found it lies in ones perception and experience(that is if you truly know what you are doing) . And this becomes a tricky slope because most cappers are not genuine with themselves so they loose sight of the true numbers . We all know the crowd is extremely intelligent and they have cut out any opportunity for an overlay to be created . ( well not really the crowd but the 5 percent that oversee the whole paradigm where the profit really exists .
There are many great cappers and smart wizards that i know and the argument will always continue but I continue to show them there is no linear value because all the relevant factors have been accounted for within the 5 percent of the sharks who want to make money for that day and that day only !!! .

anyway I know you are a harness guy and i spent 5 years of my life mastering it . still love it but
the pools have become non existent over the last 15 years . still love the game , more than thoroughbreds .

any jb sorry this post has become more about value than a response to your original post . Rambling but I guess i just needed it to get out there , because the struggle is never ending with this game .

thanks
yes

when I'm on low or any odds horses my first line reason for being on them is not conventional..a no brainer to me could be 50-1.so there is no need to not play them..not trying to make myself sound like some magic shaman or wizard but nuts and bolts it's a different approach..it's not that complicated and because of that I wouldn't be surprised if others know of or use it also
