I'm in the Vero Beach area. Amazingly, and i'm not even sure how but I never lost power. It was pretty damn nasty from about 2am till 6am this morning. Went outside and didn't see any damage to my house which is great news. Those things are never fun to go through. Usually the storm isn't so bad but not having power for god knows how long sucks. Plus my wife was losing her mind because she works in a hospital in Melbourne and had to go into work at 6 on wednesday and won't be able to come home until tomorrow.

I am south of there in Martin County, and same. Cannot believe that we never lost power, and damage is limited to trees and screens. Nothing major. Glad to hear you are safe as well.

Words can't describe how glad I am that some of our Florida dwellers have checked in with good news, less damage than could easily have been had the storm not stayed as far offshore thus far. Praying for those yet to check in and those still in the path, North Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. Tybee Island is a great laidback place, outside Savannah its among my most favorite beaches, I hope Tybee makes it through this OK.
