the more i think about it , the more i'm actually impressed with what woods has done golf wise over the last decade.

now if you've never shot under 70 in your life , you arent going to know just how hard that is to do . not to mention doing on a 7000 + yard golf course under pressure.

this guy was blowing away fields of the best golfers on the planet at the same time he was getting married , having kids and banging every chick that would look his way.

i am now of the belief that had he never fooled around on his wife he would have already passed jack and would have close to 100 wins ...

that is how friggin good this a-hole is....

One can take the other side of the coin also........

If Jack wasn't married and raising a family, he may have won 40 majors.

That's how good that guy was.

I had a hard time with that also, but hearing ex-caddies from the tour talk about it was really surreal...just sat there with my mouth open...

Heard it straight from 3 of them the other night while we were gathered at the pub the other night...a lot of caddies come to Thailand during Nov-Jan for golf and women...

Still have a hard time believing it...

Tiger Woods Named PGA Player of the Year for the 10th time

<HR width="100%" color=#eeeeee noShade SIZE=1>The PGA annouced that Tiger Woods was voted player of the year by his fellow golfers. There is no doubt that he has had his problems, but being recognized by the PGA is just not one of them.
Timothy Rinchem said on Friday, ""The recognition by peers is one of the highest compliments a PGA Tour member can receive."

<!-- /PUBDATE -->LONDON (AP) — If Tiger Woods and his Swedish wife get divorced, Elin Nordegren won't be the only one collecting on the settlement.

<!-- /GRAY BOX ARTICLE CONTENT-->British bookmaker William Hill is taking bets on just how much Nordegren will get if she decides to divorce the world's No. 1 golfer, who is taking an indefinite break from the sport after admitting to infidelities.
As the scandal widens, bettors can get 25-1 odds that Nordegren will receive more than half a billion dollars in a divorce settlement. The odds drop to 6-4 for a settlement under $100 million.
William Hill is offering only 1-2 odds that she would get between $100 million and $500 million.
At odds of 25-1, people who bet $1 and win will get $25 plus the $1 stake back. At 6-4 odds, a $4 bet will get $10 in return.
William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams said the company had been taking bets on whether or not the couple would get divorced at all, but took the market down because it was too one-sided with people
betting on divorce. William Hill also had bets on how many women would come forward as alleged mistresses, but Adams said that was too difficult to verify.
None of the bets, though, have been for much money.
“People are putting on small bets, probably so they can have a giggle in the pub and show their mate a betting slip,” Adams said.
“It's not vast sums of money.
Two other British bookmakers, Ladbrokes and Coral, are only taking bets on Woods as a golfer, saying they wanted to stay away from his personal problems.
“We did think about it, but we tend not to go down there,” Coral spokesman Gary Burton said.
Ladbrokes spokesman Nick Weinberg said his company is more concerned about Woods' sporting achievements.
“We usually stay away from the less tasteful elements, so we've given that one a miss,” Weinberg said.
Ladbrokes is only taking bets on whether or not Woods, with 14 major titles, will break Jack Nicklaus' record of 18 — and the odds on that are getting longer.
“He's 2-5 to break the record, 23-1 not to,” Weinberg said.
“We were as short as 1-20.”
Coral is taking bets on whether Woods will play at the Masters, the first major of the year, in April. Two weeks ago, they were giving 9-2 odds that he would miss the tournament at Augusta.
That's been cut to 11-10 because of the mounting scandal.
Woods is also 4-6 to play at the Masters, and 2-9 to break
Nicklaus' major record. As for Woods ever playing golf again, Coral has cut the odds from 33-1 to 16-1.
William Hill is offering the most bets, going even further than next season by giving 6-1 odds that Woods will win the Olympic gold medal at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro. He is also 4-6 to play at this year's Masters and 11-8 to win a major in 2010.
“In terms of golf, we think that it won't affect him massively,” Adams said. “He's such a focused bloke, I think he can separate the two. If anything, he might come back more focused."

What if Tiger Woods cheated at golf by using performance-enhancing drugs?

12/20/2009 3:32 AM

Guilty until proven innocent.

Sorry, but that's my approach when it comes to athletes and performance-enhancing drugs, and that's how I'm looking at Tiger Woods. Maybe you've heard that Tiger has some issues in his personal life that might put a crimp in his golf game for the foreseeable future. The stories about Tiger trying to become golf's answer to Wilt Chamberlin make it pretty clear that he doesn't have much of a problem with doing the wrong thing when he thinks nobody is looking.
Then, along comes a Canadian doctor named Anthony Galea, who has treated Tiger and who is under investigation by the Canadian Mounted Police for dispensing illegal performance-enhancing drugs. His assistant was arrested at the border after trying to bring some into the United States.
Of course, Tiger's lawyer said that Woods was receiving treatments from Galea that were both legal and common and there was no connection to the investigation of Doc Galea.
Tiger also denied all those mean things that were being said about how he behaved when he was away from home, too. Remember?
Where's Jose Canseco?
He's the most reliable source when it comes to outing athletes as PED users. As far as I know, he hasn't chimed in on the use of steroids in golf.
There's obviously no proof that Tiger is juiced and probably never will be. That means it's highly unlikely that he could ever be found guilty in court.
This isn't court.
This is my column, and when I see an athlete who looks bigger and stronger than every other athlete in his sport, and who does super-human things never before seen in his sport and his name is linked to a doctor who is linked to performance enhancing drugs, I'm going with guilty until proven innocent.
Sue me.
There have been way too many cases of athletes, whose names have been linked to steroids, talking about how their feelings have been hurt by even the suggestion that they would do such a thing, finally having to come clean when they can't explain the syringe that was found in their brown pants.
Call me crazy, but I don't think we've heard the last of Tiger Woods' possible connection with drugs that might have added a few yards to those ridiculously long drives of his.
What would you have said a month ago if someone had told you that Tiger made a habit of hiring 15 "escorts" at a time?
n My grandsons like hockey fights. Should I be worried?
They're both eight years old and play hockey. Gunnar and Luke both know that they're not allowed to fight in their games and I don't think either one is likely to sucker-punch an opposing player. Last Tuesday, I went to Gunnar's house at about 7:20 and told him that the Penguins' game had started at 7 instead of 7:30 because I knew he wanted to see the Flyers. His eyes got wide and he said, "Yeah, I know. There has already been three fights."
Should I have been concerned about his happiness over seeing the fights? I hope not because I had no problem with it. I know that no one in his life has ever glorified the fights or told him that he should be entertained by them. I think Gunnar and Luke - and every other boy who gets excited by the fights - come by it naturally. With the feminization of our society and kids being told that they're not allowed to play tag at recess, I'm actually glad these two boys are exposed to the manly art of self-defense. Even if it's being demonstrated by guys wearing helmets.
Seeing Eric Goddard of the Penguins beating up Riley Cote of the Flyers less than six minutes into the game Tuesday got the fans fired up, but when doesn't a fight get the fans fired up? Ever take a close look at the faces of the people pressed up against the glass during a fight? Do you ever get the idea that any of them are yelling, "Hey, c'mon guys. Break it up. Play hockey"?
I hope, not only for myself, but for the sake of my grandchildren, that the NHL never bans fighting.
n Sidney Crosby, going into last night's game, was on pace to score 55 goals this season. I won't be surprised if he scores 60. He's the best player in the NHL and whoever is second isn't that close.
n You're aware, of course, that if the Steelers lose their last three games and finish 6-10, then they would be the worst professional sports team in Pittsburgh. Their .375 winning percentage would be 10 points worse than the Pirates, who finished 62-99.
n I can understand why fans are be upset with the Pirates' decision to release their closer, Matt Capps. The Pirates might stink without him.

Given the very dense population and the very, very cold weather four to five months a year, I can't imagine too many people born and raised in USA for 40 years wanting to move to the UK

Australia is the far more preferable spot for a wealthy American ex-pat.

Story written: 20 December 2009
Dr. Melvin Krebs had good news for his staff and reporters as he announced the worlds-first successful transplant of a horse penis to a human being. Citing advanced technical skills, and an experienced transplant team, Dr. Krebs showed before and after photos of the procedure.

"The donor horse was a horse named Diablo who began his career as a thoroughbred race horse. He retired from racing
four years ago. Sadly, Diablo passed on and was a donor for us. The recipient was plagued by a rather pitiful organ and it was necessary to remove it."

"Doctor, was his penis diseased?"

"Oh no, not at all. Just too small! We transplanted that donated organ onto a research mouse at the hospital."

When asked about the recipient, Dr. Krebs surprised spectators by allowing the patient to say a few words in person. He was helped in by two nurses and the noticeable bulge in his pajamas caused a few murmurs amongst the crowd.

"I'd like to introduce Tiger Woods, whom I'm sure you already know. Mr. Woods received this wonderful gift yesterday. As you can see he's getting his strenght back and will be leaving the ward tomorrow morning."

"Mr. Woods, London Magazine here, can you say a few words to our readers about your experience?"

"Why yes," Tiger cleared his throat and took the microphone, "I'd first off like to thank the wonderful staff here, and I have very few problems. My crotch sure seems loaded now! But I'm wondering just how long I'll have to keep this feed bag full of oats on my face."

Tiger Woods' wife Elin Nordegren wants the kids and 'half his fortune'

Tiger Woods' wife Elin Nordegren wants the kids and 'half his fortune' <!-- google_ad_section_end(name=story_headline) --><!-- // .story-headline -->

TIGER Woods' wife Elin Nordegren wants a divorce, sole custody and half his estimated £370 million ($671 million) fortune, according to a newspaper report. <!-- google_ad_section_end(name=story_introduction) --><!-- // .story-intro --><!-- google_ad_section_start(name=story_body, weight=high) -->
The superstar golfer has also reportedly reneged on a promise he made to his wife to go into rehabilitation to wean himself off the prescription drugs Ambien and Vicodin.
A close friend of Ms Nordegren told the News of the World: "Tiger was supposed to be working on getting better and he hasn't done anything. Instead he just went to stay with a friend and says he's 'trying to get better on his own'.
"Elin is livid he hasn't checked into rehab and gotten himself off his drugs. He's acting like a big baby," the source said.
"Now she wants 100 per cent divorce, 100 per cent custody of the children and half of everything. And she won't be changing her mind."
Ms Nordegren is reported to have engaged the services of renowned Californian divorce lawyer Sorrell Trope, who represented Britney Spears in her court battles with Kevin Federline.
Woods has vowed to quit golf for at least the next 12 months, according to the newspaper, with the devastated star telling aides he feels "helpless" and is "not in control" of his life.
The aides also say the star is fighting deep-seated "personal issues", including his use of pain medication like Vicodin and sleeping tablets Ambien.
A source told News of the World: "Tiger is a broken man, on the edge and unable to come to terms with what's happening in his life.
"He has made it clear that he doesn't want to do anything on the golf course in the next year.
"He has realised that his golf tour life has become a no-holds-barred non-stop party. But he reckons things will blow over."
The pair's children, Sam, two, and 10-month-old Charlie will be Ms Nordegren's top priority.
"She's like a mama bear protecting her young," said the source.
"She's prepared to give him visitation - but she wants the visits to be monitored.
"This may seem a little extreme but it shows her anger. Elin firmly believes she'll win custody as well as half everything Tiger has. He's in for a fight."
According to the friend, the Swedish former model isn't even bothered whether Woods, 33, is still in contact with his mistresses.
"She couldn't give a hoot," said the friend. "She couldn't care less if he wants to ruin his life some more. 'Let him see them if he wants' is her attitude.
"Tiger is his own worst enemy because at the start, Elin was sympathetic towards him. He was so physically and emotionally ill, she was thinking of giving him a second chance. But Tiger's refusal to go into therapy is the last straw."
