The talent level and competition of HS programs is not equal outside of a few of the football power states, if the skill positions are not coming from Cali, Texas, La, Ms, Ga, or Fla, I typically don't get that excited. Washington as a state does not produce a ton of top tier talent. The kid might be different but I'd be skeptical until i see him in an allstar game or the Elite 11 camps.Saw the replay of his last playoff game at Lake Stevens the other night and kid looks like the real deal, sucks if he bolts for Georgia fans.
obviously you're not much of a recruiting guy because Eason is known by everyone that follows it. Anyone who is #1 at his position gets there because of their camps and all-star games not because of who they play in high school. The talent level and competition of HS programs is not equal outside of a few of the football power states, if the skill positions are not coming from Cali, Texas, La, Ms, Ga, or Fla, I typically don't get that excited. WinOne!!
well, Florida's recent 4-star QB commit (Franks) just got word of the Eason visit and isn't happy....he has camped with Eason several times including Elite 11 so that should tell you how good Eason is:
Jacob Eason, the No. 1 quarterback recruit in the nation, was scheduled to visit Florida Tuesday. And another quarterback recruit was less than thrilled about it.
Feleipe Franks, the nation’s No. 3 quarterback (according to Rivals), was asked what he thought about Eason, a longtime Georgia commit, visiting Florida. Franks committed to the Gators on Sunday.
“Not good,” Franks told SEC Country.

He was a top 3-4 competitor in last summer's elite 11. I was talking to a HC from down in warner-robbins at the UGA/BAMA game that camped this kid and said he has the most talented arm he has ever seen from a HS qb, especially for someone 6'5". He said the big concern is mechanics as he was really, really raw.
btw about 10 years ago i heard almost identical stuff on Phillip Sims so it doesn't make him a can't-miss. Most should be asking who the f**k is Phillip Sims. camping and talent and arm strength are all measurables but much more difficult to figure it out what's b/w the ears.
short version is that whoever gets Eason's commit is getting probably the most talented, but raw, true QB in the nation this year. Prefer he goes outside the SEC but as long as he's in the East that works as well
Mark Richt should not be feeling too down and out because he is getting a lot of attention from several schools. It's being reported several schools have contacted Richt with Maryland pushing the hardest. Richt is probably going to meet with Terp officials either today or tomorrow. There is a connection there that favors a possible marriage. Former Georgia AD Damon Evans (2004-2010) is an associated AD at the school.
Eason will be at UGA.
Kirby going to flip a lot of players as well.
I'll give you some strong odds he doesn't commit to Colorado State Mr. W.
RT - I'm not a recruiting guy because that's just like fantasy games or dungeons and dragons for folks that never played the game of football. There are tons of guys that have big arms and all the measurables every year that don't amount to a hill of beans because they've been the big fish in some very small ponds. In your own reply you mentioned that he's VERY RAW and does not have the mechanics. My guess is he's probably not very mobile either which spells disaster to me. Just my take though.obviously you're not much of a recruiting guy because Eason is known by everyone that follows it.
