Give me a break

What a little **** this scientology following fuck is. Up 24 in the 4th quarter and he goes for it on 4th down instead of kicking an easy FG?
What a little bitch, I hope BSU gets left out of the bCS game and has to settle for another visit to some bullshit bowl game instead while being undefeated.

First of all, he's not a scientologist. That is a rumour that has since been proven untrue.

Second, Christ Peterson and the entire BSU program can't seem to catch a break...if they let off the gas late in a game, everyone says "BSU sucks, they can't even smash lesser opponents." If they keep their foot on the gas (ala Urban Meyer and all the coaches you think are "classier"), you get some uneducated punk calling the coach a scientology fuck and little bitch. Get a clue.

These guys will get whats coming to them.

Getting up dancing after making plays like its the title game.
Umm, fellas, you are playing UTAH STATE.

Personally, I got a little sick watching the Gators celebrate after every TD they scored against Charleston Southern and Troy...but people seem to ignore it when it's a team they cheer for on a regular basis.

if these cocksuckers are lucky enough to make a BCS game, I'd love to see them matched up against a team like Bama who would just demolish them along the lines and make them their prison bitches.

people said the same ignorant thing when they played Oklahoma, they said the same thing when Utah smashed Bama last year. BSU has shown time and again they can hang with quality opponents. When Box and other reasonable cappers on this site give BSU their due, but question if they could play tough teams week in and week out, I have to agree. I think BSU would struggle in that regard. However, on any given week, BSU has already proven they can play against big teams.

I agree.

They are incredibly overrated. How badly would TCU bend that ass over? I love how everyone rides this Boise bandwagon. They really are not any good. Oregon was awful week one and they got extremely lucky.

I hope they play in some second rate bowl game, bitch and moan about it, and get their skull crushed in by a team like Georgia Tech.

blah blah blah...another post from a one of the bitter idiots who bet USU last night. BSU DID play TCU in a second rate bowl game last year, and lost by one point. TCU was an extremely good team last year as well, and was one play away from beating Utah and winnning the MWC.

"Oregon was awful that week"...well, they were awful the year before I suppose too, when BSU went into Oregon and beat them and their "hottest offense" in the country.

I don't think Chris Peterson is really a Scientologist.

I googled it and came up with this page. It seems to explain that it was a rumor started by someone that heard about a Scientologist who's name is Chris Peterson.

I sure hope that's all there is to it. There's some more about him being denied a shot at the Notre Dame job because the Catholics would have a hard time hiring Peterson if he really was a Scientologist. He is said to have been asked about it and he denied it was true. Anyway, all of this seems to be heresay. Just a nasty rumor based on BS. (I hope)

thank you for actually doing some research. this is the type of bullshit started by BCS homers who can't handle keeping the focus on BSU's football team. They have to make up things about BSU's coach being a scientologist, the blue field being a gimmick, etc. BSU is not a perfect program, but has made tremendous strides in a remarkably short period of time.

I was amazed at some of the more reputable cappers on this site predicting possible Utah State upsets last night. Nobody bothered to check the trend from their previous matchups...they would have seen BSU has not lost be less than 24 in the past five years. Everybody is so anxious to see this team lose or get their ass kicked that they are discrediting what BSU is actually accomplishing on a perennial basis.

Having lived in Jacksonville, Boise, Chicago, and Las Vegas, I have a pretty good feel for college football and the perceptions nationwide. It's pretty typical for anyone outside of the intermountain west to automatically discredit BSU. They jump all over it when BSU shits the bed (see Tulsa and LAtech) but ignore the ten or eleven other times during the regular season that the Broncos dominate their opponent. But when LSU struggles against that same LAtech team, people conveniently ignore it. BSU isn't the only team I follow, but my experiences living in separate regions of the country give me a little different perspective. I understand that college football is a way of life in SEC country...I understand that midwesterners love their teams so much that they deal with the shitty weather just to watch them...and I understand that BSU is a up and coming program that people don't want to give credit to.

So we'll call them overrated and make up rumors about their coach being a scientologist.

I hate that too, but unfortunately I'm not a Gators fan in the least bit.

Id love to see Boise get left out and Okie State put in

welcome to the RX

did you sign up just to respond to this thread?

thanks. no, been following for a long time. already went to the sportsbook to get my picks in, had some downtime, and thought, what better way to start off than dispelling some rumors about the Broncos.

I think it was a sure bet (assuming a victory against Oklahoma, which is not going to happen) until they shit the bed against CU at home.

It was 4th and inches. Kicking a FG may have even insulted the team more. Just another sore loser.

EXACTLY...it was the right call, and the SAME CALL that 90% of coaches would have made in that situation....they NEVER ONCE threw the ball on that last drive, they ran right up the middle every time....they did everything they could to NOT run up the score...going for it on 4th down was not intended to run up score, at taht point in the game....but to avoid a meaningless fg at that time....IF Utah state didnt like the result, maybe they should have stopped them on 4th down

I think Boise vs OU and Utah last year were different

They both were disrespected and supposed to get blown out. This years team is soft upfront and people are talking about deserving to be there and not get snubbed. So this team is different because they are SUPPOSED to be favored in the bowl game whereas they were "big dogs" in the past.

I agree. Tell that to that ASSHOLE Chip Kelly who up 20 last week on 4th and 5 kicks a FG for the cover. I hope the Ducks get their doors blown off tonight and kill rose bowl hopes

Three fast things:

1. I'm fascinated by the turn this thread took. What an amazing change from the original intention AND it's somehow remained pretty darned civil. That's both amazing and weird.

2. L. Ron Hubbard didn't write "Mr. Roberts." That novel/play was written by a guy named Thomas Heggen.

3. "Mr. Roberts" is one of the best plays I've ever seen in my life. If you've never seen it, it's worth making note of. It's touching and memorable.

OK then it wasn't Mr. Roberts, it was something that reminded me of it. Sorry but it's been a long time. Next time this conversation takes place I'll know. I can ask a "Guardian Office" refugee friend. She will know.

I don't know the cappers you are referring to. Personally, I figured USU to put up a fight for a half then quietly lay down and go to sleep in the 2H, which is exactly what happened. (check my WC P-10 thread when you get the chance.) I even posted a link where a definite trend was blaringly obvious about USU's tendencies. The game line did look awfully small and I was tempted to bet the Broncos, but the 1H over 31 play at least gave some credit where credit was due for the Aggies at home (in case of any doubt.) And that was about all there was to it.

As far as the Scientology accusations go, I was genuinely dismayed to see it because I happen to like Chris Peterson, admire him a lot and I know a few things about Scientology.

And Willie, if there is anything about it that looks positive, believe me that is exactlly what they want you to think. They are players extraordinaire and they have a hook for just about everyone to swallow.

Other than that Anesthesia, you are quite right about the morons that refuse to accept Boise St. as a legitimate program that fields a team that can compete with and beat anyone. Most of them from the East and morons from the Southeast that think their shit don't stink and there is no such thing as football anywhere else but in the South. The rest of them are spoon fed by east coast beatwriters that don't know shit about anything west of the Rockies. Sad but true. You'd think this forum taught them something by now, but no, they'd rather just come on here waiving their pompoms and expect people to accept their self styled supremacy and every cliche they mention as the truth.

Scientology reminds me of the episode of What's Happening, where Rerun joined a religion where they worshiped a head of lettuce named Ralph.
