Consider all the subprime borrowers in America who ended up in foreclosure in the last 5 years because of inability to make payments.

On average, what percentage of the responsibility for their plight lies on their own shoulders?

this problem.......which i know can occur hasnt since docs been back.....all the good threads have stayed.........he is getting judged on the past....right or wrong........there are no threads getting run off the front page.......the only threads that may run a good thread off are the THREADS bitching about DOC

doc had started 15 threads out of 45 on the front page when he first came back. i don't know if someone said something to him because he seemed to have calmed down. then tonight 5 of the first 10 threads were started by him so maybe he's getting his second wind. i count 10 threads on the front page started by doc tonight.

If they are being lied too - 0%. And it wasnt an "inability to make the payments". In a large percentage the payments actually went up even as they were being told they would not. People who deliberately misrepresent the facts and swindle people into suicide purchases through unscrupulous lending practices are the 100% responsible parties.

My question was one you can't look up on the internet because it involves a value judgment. Different fundamental values held by sovereign human beings are often at the root of disagreements.

How about the people who default on credit card payments? What percentage of the responsibility is theirs? Credit cards have had those mandatory disclosure summary pages for decades now.

And yes, I always give some responsibility to the victim of pickpocketing. The amount varies by situation but it's never zero IMO.
