our current status is unsustainable

we keep spending more than we are bringing in and as the economy gets gloomier tax intakes decreases as well

you can talk about GDP but that's not keeping up

not to mention all the entitlements and other shit...tapping SS to make up for shortfalls etc....

baby boomers ready to retire....many will have to work till 70 if they can find a job

and all the debt on the personal side of the equation and a negative savings rate

its just a huge shitstorm
