chuck - i headed down to oakland after the game...place was nuts! missed the parade today, though.
I wanted to come back for the parade, but I'm still recuperating from the weekend. I think I had 3 hrs of sleep from Friday until Monday.
I'm going to try and make it back for St Patty's Day.

Pittsburgh is akin to Notre Dame, they mostly get lucky and win games they should lose. That being said they rarely lose games that they should win. If anyone with a half of football brain watched the Super Bowl, it was evident that Arizona was the better team, after the first series (1st QTR) Arizona moved the ball with great consistency and the Refs did hold them back on a few drives and looked the other way on a few roughing the passer calls. Pittsburgh is a lucky team, they lucked out against Baltimore, Dallas, SD the first game and I am sure I am missing 1 or 2. They definitely lucked out by not having to play the Titans again..........and let's not forget how Balt/Ten game ended with the refs disregarding a delay of game. It's like they knew Pitt couldn't beat TENN, but could beat BALT. I am from PGH and get to see the luckiest franchise in the history of the NFL. Okay, saying all that..........PITTSBURGH

I am a diehard Steeler fan but unlike most PGHers I can admit they got lucky and aided from the refs. I am a bit older and wiser than you and know the truth when I see it. So go celebrate with your punkass friends and don't cough too much while you're blowing smoke up each others asses. Yes, the Pittsburgh Steelers are the Champions but unless you have a stake in the team then you should drop the "we". If you do own some of the team then my apologies "you" would be the champs!:nohead:

Wow, I can't believe this many people give a shit one way or the other. Looked like a fumble to me, but it's not like they lost the fuckin game because of it. They lost they game because they couldn't stop the Steelers on the last drive and threw an interception for a TD right before the end of the half.

They blew it. Period. They had opportunities and blew it and giving them one more "shot" at a HAIL MARY from midfield wouldn't of amounted to shit anyway. That's why they call it a HAIL MARY. So please, enough about the fumble/incomplete at the end of the game.

Well said Geek, I am quite sure that it was a fumble, and the Stillers won the game because Arizona couldn't stop them. I think you need to read my post with a little more insight and try to take the time to understand what I am saying.......

Why do I need to read it? I don't give care either way, but tired about the fumble/incomplete call at the end which determined nothing IMO and I can't believe is being talked about like it decided something.

so well said. when i read this we crap from losers in their parents basement i want to barf. these players don't you mr. "we" from mr. potato head. if your car were broken down on the highway and they drove past you would they stop? Hell No. they couldn't possibly care less about you. next time free agency comes around and they want to get paid they will leave "your team" in a heartbeat if the price is right.
i live in a city that won the world series recently and they make these players out to be gods. 95% of these athletes have been pampered since they were seven years old and are arrogant and selfish. that is why the kurt warner story gets the airplay because it is the exception to the norm.

don't get attached to teams or players. the only reason to follow sports is for gambling, fantasy football/baseball etc and if you can make money off of memorabilia. these teams will suck every $ they can out of you on tickets, parking, $7 beers, merchandise, psls and whatever else they can do. go root for your kids little league team. it is much more enjoyable.

on a sad note on that fumble or not a fumble. i had arizona under 3.5 rushers and they gave a rushing attempt on the play (his only "carry" of the game) and that made it 4 for the team.

Czar, you can't reason with people who live and die with "their teams" Do you know, and this is a fact, that PFA's rise higher in PGH when the Steelers lose. I mean this is a pathetic fact..........women, wives, and children get beat when the Steelers lose!!!!! They are million dollar babies who don't care two shakes about the "normal" person.

Root for the team and be happy that they won but please refrain from calling them "your" team. You don't own them, play for them and I am pretty sure the stadium doesn't belong to you either! I know we paid taxes for the structure but do you or I have a key to get in? NO!! you dumb assess, to get in you have to pay money for a ticket!! So you don't own the stadium either. It was a fumble the Steelers won and I congratulate the Pittsburgh Steeler ORGANIZATION, not the fans. Go ask the Rooney family if you can have the trophy since it is "your" team. Let me know what they tell you.

That's football, like it or not. It's a brutal game and the only way a guy gets ejected is if you kick a player on the ground or do something to a ref.
It was only a 15 yd. penalty.

They get paid millions and have 47 only had is pride hurt, for getting knocked on his ass, in front of millions of people.
His can't feel anything will the equipment he has on anyway.

or not getting ejected for

whbja8.jpg

Ejected for slapping someone on the back and pushing them over? Give me a break. Mike Gandy should've been ejected after the 3rd holding call vs Harrison. Three holds and you're out. He was holding Harrison every play.
