You don't think he has any fans because more people dislike him than like him?

He still has way more fans than every other fighter besides maybe Manny

You think he is getting a million people to watch him fight Victor Oriz because he has no fans? Gimme a break man

Also if you wanna go the passive-aggressive condescending questions route, you probably wanna use that when you have a better point than "Floyd has a small fan base"

The guy wins and then still talks shit at his press conference. He actually said he has invested well and could retire today if he wants. Ummm, you just made 200 million in 1 day. And how stupid is it for 2 hot girls to be standing in the background just smiling. Boxing is a weird sport. You have a weigh in where 2 guys stare at each other and then people discuss who looked away first.

Never said he had enough fans to make 180mill. You're taking what I said out of context.

He still has more fans than most fighters but we're just playing semantics regardless.

The point is, why do you need the general publics acceptance when you are making more money in 45 mins than the top 10 players in the NFL make in a year combined? He has a polarization to him that drives these massive buyrates for his fights and that is where his brilliance is from. A lot of great fighters were never crossover PPV stars and they were far more liked by the public.

I didnt pay for the fight and loss 50 on the draw lol 22-1 odds. I actually was one his fans back in the day. Dont like the guy he turned out to be but the dude has some serious skills. Why be mad? I have met under 5 fans ever and I know alot of boxing fans

Floyd dominated as always. No more dominant athlete in the last 30 years try and name one because I bet they lost at some point. This board is a lot of people sour that they realize how good he is and they hate him. I get hating him but appreciate how terrified he makes guys that step in to the ring with him when he weighs 147lbs. When was the last time you saw manny afraid to move forward?

Oh I wasn't

Just making the point....Roy Jones or Bernard Hopkins has tons of fans but they never were crossover PPV stars. This idea you need the publics acceptance in a combat sport is a little off the wall to me. You fight for yourself. If you can generate the type of revenue he does, why would you care that you don't have overwhelmingly adulation from the public?

I think people are sour because many just paid $100+ for the "fight of the century"

So was anything said after the fight about this being Mayweather's last fight? Did Mayweather hint at retirement?

No I completely agree. But there are always more people rooting against him than for. Anyone who follows boxing even just the slightest knows that.

Yeah like I said earlier he is in a no way situation with his detractors. He schools Manny and people just devalue Manny. Manny has absolutely walked through very good fighters before.

Home town bar had the fight for $15. They don't call him Fast Floyd for nothing. Has anyone ever scene Pac-Man fight so
poorly since he's been in the spotlight. Even in his fights with Marquez when he was KO'd in one and fought to a draw in another
winning twice he was the real Pac-Man. Manny never looked so overmatched & completely lost
that's what Floyd does to his opponents. It wasn't even close.

Also he beats the shit out of women and has done time for it so that is a big reason people aren't crazy for him. So it isn't all to do with how he fights in the ring.

Some people don't seperate entertainment and morality and they think he is an awful person so that is why they hate him.
