The NCAA doesn't officially recognize a D-1A football champion. If you're comfortable using a SOS system that rewards home games versus Idaho more then away games at LSU or USC, well, I wouldn't go telling people that or they will lose what little respect for you they currently have.

Yeah, Clausen did pretty well. But I have to wonder what kind of defense USC was in at the end of the 4th Q that allowed him move the ball as he did. It always happens in the 4th quarter, later on when everyone is in some kind of "prevent" mode... (an oxymoron)

Your chances could be better than you think with that season total bet. I think the Bruins are hard pressed to win ½ their remaining games just to be bowl eligible. Upcoming games vs Zona and Oregon St. should prove once more how bad UCLA is on the road. You might win your bet in 3 weeks because UW might turn out to be UCLA's 6th loss in a row. If not, I'm sure Pete Carol will bring the money home for you.

When I say recognized as champions, I mean the NCAA acknowledges teams as champions whether via a title game or voting (like in the old days, potentially now with the AP).
If the AP title is a sham like USC haters want to claim, the same can be said for the BCS regardless of a bs contract that excludes many teams from having the opportunity to win it.

OH LORD! Here come the USC homers again claiming they should be playing for another National Championship when their team struggles to beat teams in the weakest conference in college football. Hell, I think the WAC has a stronger conference than yours at the moment.

so, you must either admit they didnt win in 03 or admit they have the 67th best SOS in 09 right now since NCAA acknowledgement is relevant you claim....or you could just have Matt Leinharts dad pay for it all and forget about it i guess
***ive said many times i think USC has been the best team over the past 10 years. but claiming a phantom title is pathetic. win it on the field and accept the losses like men.
