True there is some resentment but often than resent it the do as the Romans, I've worked with lawyers, engineers, business administrators and other graduated professionals because there's more money in books. As far as a father's jealousy of his son earning more than him those would be very isolated cases because only successful families can afford to send their children to schools that make them truely billingual. Also remember that here children are expected to return part of the income back to the household so a greater income is good news.

It is also true that there are a lot of young people working in books but that image has also changed a lot as the business has progressed here. You would probably be surprised to find out how many families are being supported on sportsbook salaries now and even more so the amount of single mommies that work in books. Also many companies have tried to clean up the image, there are even some that require piss testing for drugs.

I'm not sure what you mean by misconduct. Prostitution is legal (remember that just based on population numbers it's impossible for the foreigners to use prostitution more than locals based on volume) and only dealing drugs is illegal not using them. Also bookies, that like to avoid any heat of course, don't usually mess around with the under aged prostitutes. Again the biggest thing that stirs up a crowd here is under age prostitution and under age prostitution tourism which as I say doesn't get equated to being the sportsbook crowd.
