Very few people....and restrictions are a good thing....maybe this latest shooting would have been less damage had the kid not had access to 14 firearms and unlimited ammunition

America already has restrictions. Firearms are the most heavily regulated commercial product in America.

The kid didn't use 14 firearms or unlimited ammunition in the shooting so that is a non sequitur.

Oregon expands background checks to almost all gun sales in the state

Worked swell, huh?

Also, California, Maryland, New York, Louisiana, Deleware, Hawaii, Illinois, Colorado, Connecticut, Minnesota, and North Dakota have all passed tougher gun laws since the Sandy Hook massacre.

He had access to 14 because of his loon mother.

I wish we could get to the point where these mass shootings don't turn into a pro-gun v anti-gun debate. Guns are not the biggest issue here.

Guns make it easier for disturbed individuals to commit mass murder. Making it more difficult to own guns and purchase ammo would make some of these events less deadly, and would even prevent some of these events from happening. Making it more difficult to own guns would not in any way prevent these events entirely (or in my opinion lower the rate at which they happen substantially) or fix the growing problem of our country having a disturbing number of isolated people who feel as though their only way to be heard is to commit mass murder. The way the media covers these events, as evidenced by this latest shooter's statements, only increases the likelihood that we are going to see this incident repeated in the near future.

[h=1]Obama’s claim that ‘states with the most gun laws tend to have the fewest gun deaths’[/h]
Anyone want to guess how many Pinocchios?

"This is a classic situation in which a politician bases a statement on a study, but then exaggerated the conclusions to justify a policy."

and:

We wavered between Two and Three Pinocchios, but in the end settled on Two.

I agree that guns are not the biggest issue. Parenting, mental health are the big issues but guns are also part of the problem. Its unrealistic to have a discussion about mass killings and not discuss the weapon being used. These guys keep bringing up traffic deaths....well, isn't the car the "weapon" in those. Don't manufacturers spend billions on safety aspects of cars? Seat belts, air bags and such. Don't they do tests to make the car safer?

most people for gun control don't think guns are the only issue at play but they are certainly part of it.

It has everything to do what you want. If you were truly for fairness and equality, you would want men to have the ability to terminate their responsibility the way women have the right to terminate theirs.

I have never claimed interest in 'Fairness & Equality"....u are thinking of someone else

My only interest is that a pregnant female can terminate an unwanted pregnancy anytime SHE decides without fear of legal repercussion

That's pretty much how it works in 21st century United States of America and so I am very happy

The fact that you don't understand that this is already done is awesome.

Is this fleet of vans that travel statewide 24/7 to assure each and every black, brown or even yellowish-brown itizens gets their shiny new Voter ID card the same fleet that delivered the same peeps their annual ObamaPhonez and their monthly supply of food stamps for buying lobster and Colt45 quart bottles?

Now THAT would be an efficient way to placate the rabble rousin' Coloreds

Some of us GAF what the unborn baby wants for herself (or himself).

Yes I know. But you are nicely outflanked on the legal front by those who care more about the pregnant female
