I see alot of Knicks talk and people talking about Eddy Curry having a size advantage....Curry isn't even in the 9 man rotation so I don't think you will be seeing alot of him.

The OKC thunder are going to be a dreadful team despite that great home advantage they're supposed to have. I think Milwaukee has more talent all-around and should come back with a win tonight. The thunder are so woeful that they probably will lose their franchise opener.

I think Hornets are the best bet tonight, warriors are going to be terrible until ellis comes back. That is going to be one stagnant offense with such a bad backcourt.

To win the division over Boston, Philly and Toronto? Don't see that happening. I think that money could've been better spent IMO but I wish you best of luck.

As far as Beasley goes, all we can do is wait and see how legit he is.

Well....

1) Philly isnt good
2) I would take miami +950 over Toronto any day of the week
3) Miami is in the Southeast. They would have to beat Orlando, Charlotte, Washington, and Atlanta:nohead:

imo its a good investment

Not discounting LAC +8.5 as usable, but a reminder that both Lakers and Clippers share the same home court...so it's more accurate to cap them both as being at Home.

agree... back to back this early in the season is not a big deal on these guys legs/bodies and add to that The Lakers are not even traveling. These guys are fresh and ready to go. Back to back games are part of the NBA anyway so they are physically prepared for them going into the season but this early it is a mute point.

Yo Greenbacks I would like to follow your picks today.
I already got the Heat +2.5. I also like the Raptors plus the points against Philly. Let me know what your thinking later in the day.
Thanks man

Philly isnt good :think2:

imo NO

Will they make the playoffs as like a 6-8 more than likely.
Would they win 35 games in the West. IMO NO

Elton Brand, AI (not the AI), Andre Miller

Guess you may find that to be a good top 3...

Course Reggie Evans, Sam D, and Lou Williams are very solid

The 76ers are not a top 16 team in the league so IMO they arent good

Philly's starting lineup:

PG - Andre Miller
SG - Andre Iguodala
SF - Thaddeus Young
PF - Elton Brand
C - Sam Dalembert

Big, strong, supremely athletic lineup, only thing missing is a deadly 3 point threat. They are a hard-working team, well coached, decent defensively. Reggie Evans and Lou Williams off the bench to boot, that's pretty damn good. I wouldn't be surprised if they have the biggest breakout of any team this year.

I was touching upon 2 subjects in that post you're referring to. In the first paragraph I said Knicks won't win the Atlantic. In the 2nd I said as far as Beasley goes we will have to wait and see how legit he is.

"I LOVE miami this year but has BEASLEY proven himself this year?" is what you said, so I responded to that. But somehow you interpreted it as me saying the Heat are in the Atlantic. Um yeah sorry but I've been a hoops junkie since '93, you'll never catch me saying shit like that.

Heat

Beasley has all the tools to play well in the pro's; I went to every game at Kansas State and watched very carefully. It's not just that he can dominate other bigs in college and put up 20 a night...it's that he does it with fluidity and ease.

As far as the game goes...taking points on a team that has two elite players and a potential super star ("potential")..I also like Chalmers running the point (some Kansas chemistry!); vs. a couple potential great players and a bunch of other good players + an elite coach...ok i'm not going to talk myself out of this...Heat with the outright win...or points if you wanna play it like that.

I also like NO, Sac, Pho, Tor :103631605

Thanks Greenbacks

This type of daily dialogue is extremely helpful. I post at a small forum with just a fraction of the guys on here and last year the "barbershop" was a great tool for helping us decide which games to stay with and which ones to let go. Best of luck everyone.
