Hi yy. Had a great time on Saturday. Went out with two friends and met three more there. Perfect weather day. Had a couple of early races taken off the turf. I skipped them. Had a $40.00 win ticket on a horse in the ninth who led all the way around, relinquished the lead midstretch by about a half length, then came back and got the win (9.20) under a persistent ride by Pratt. Lost $70.00 bucks for the day. I call that a win when I'm at my favorite place on earth!
Niko got his flight out of Newark cancelled (I think it was a connecting flight)n and never made it on Saturday. Bummer. I was looking forward to meeting up. But he did make it on Sunday and texted me that he loved one of Irad's horses late in the day and was stepping in. He won easily at 5-1! Niko is a solid handicapper. I'm sure that bet made the crap he had to go through on Saturday a little easier to take.
Sorry you couldn't make it. Working on plans to get back there over Labor Day weekend. Depends on a couple of buddies.
Maybe we all could meet up there next year. That would be great.
