It’s criminal how underrated Pippen was

I would say Pippen was a better 2nd option then any 2nd option Lebron ever had

Pippen was better then Wade ,AD , or kyrie
There's a case to be made that he was over-rated. The guy was a head-case that:
- Refused to go back into a 1994 Eastern Conference semi-final game because Phil drew up
an end-game play for Kukoc. It made Bill Cartwright so upset that it reduced him to tears - and then
Scottie claimed that Phil drew up the play for Kukoc because Phil was a racist. (WTF)
- Game 7 Eastern Conference Finals, Pippen complained of a headache, played 42 minutes
and scored a grand total of 2 points in a 19 point loss.

Pippen is still severely underrated. We know now with advanced stats that his impact was insane.

The Bulls do not win their first three titles without him. For comparison sakes, his average VORP in those years was either higher than or equivalent to essentially any star in history who isn't a top 5 player all time.

People don't understand how insane it is to guard the best player half the time (at least) while still going out and putting up 20/8/5 on good efficiency in that era.

The Bulls without Jordan led by Pippen won 55 games. AD's best Pelicans team won 48

Look How Horrible The Bulls Were For 6 Straight Years After Jordan Left Them:
2003-04 Chicago 23 - 59 .280
2002-03 Chicago 30 - 52 .366
2001-02 Chicago 21 - 61 .256
2000-01 Chicago 15 - 67 .183
1999-00 Chicago 17 - 65 .207
1998-99 Chicago 13 - 37 .260 (Lockout Year)
Disingenuous

The team as a whole broke up — it wasn’t just MJ who left lol

The Cavs largely stayed in tact and were the worst team in the league

The Bulls To This Day Have Really Never Been The Same Since MJ Left But The Cavs Were Down A Few Years Each Time Lebron Left And Bounced Back And Right Now Look Like A Pretty Good Team For The Next Several Years.

Cavs didn't bounce back after the first time LeBron left Cleveland

Until LeBron came back, and they went to the Finals every year and won a title

It took them a while to build what they have now, but they're not as good as their record. Regular season hustle/decent defensive team, but not a threat in any way

And this is coming from a Cavs fan btw

Maybe 1 Thing We Can Agree On Unless Something Miraculous Happens The Bulls And Cavs Won't Win Another Championship In Our Lifetime

100% That Bulls team four starters shot .528 from the Field in game 7. Any other "great" player would have easily won the game with such a performance from his teammates. No other great lost a game 7 with his starting 4 shooting .528 from the field! Pippen shit the bed again in game 7, just like against the Pistons and Lakers!

That Bulls team that added Kukoc, Kerr, Longley, the starters played great in game 7 vs the Knicks. Pippen shit the bed in game 7 as he always does!

Pippen joined a 57 win team (when the Dream was healthy, only won 41 games next season 'cause he missed 35 games) and didn't win anything
He then joined the Trial Blazers who had the third best record in the league and didn't win anything. Neither team advanced any further in the playoffs with Pippen.

AD joined a bottom half 37 win non playoff Lakers and won the title

I don't get the big deal Lebron making the finals and getting swept with a shitty team. The eastern conference was terrible! MJ had to go through ALL-TIME great teams just to make the final! That Celtics team, with a healthy Walton was probably the greatest team ever, that MJ didn't play on! That front court by far, is the best ever! Jordan scored 112 points in 2 games vs that front court! No way Lebron would even get 60 points in 2 games vs those beasts! The Pistons even with Zeke playing on one ankle, threepeats if not for a BS foul call on Lambeer when he didn't even touch Kareem. The foul whistle was blown even before the "contact" occurred! If Jordan play in the east in the mid to late 2000's, he could have take a bunch of Rx's to the finals!

Lakers ability to beat Denver literally hinges on whether D'Angelo Russell has a good game or not...
