Nets looked like they had a nice team going before KD injury. Bench players have helped them, Simmons had kinda figured out his role

Simmons has been a nightmare.

When talking about their trade options(before Irving) it always gets mentioned of Simmons and his un-movable contract.

Simmons doesn't shoot he fouls A LOT and his supposed great defense is more on reputation these days than anything else. He is also constantly hurt.

He rebounds(he should he is 6'10") and is a great passer.(one would hope as he can't get the ball out of his hands fast enough)

Lastly, shoots 43 percent from the free throw line.(when he doesn't throw the ball out of bounds to avoid going there)

43 percent! He makes Giannis look like Pistol Pete from the line.

The timing of this power play makes me think this was spur of moment rather than a thought through plan.(shocking)

He was balling and team playing decent waiting on Durant.

Not sure what Nets do now. Deadline is super close. Irving is a FA at season's end. You could lose him for nothing---but do you really want to give this brat what he wants?

I haven't a clue how this ends. Could see numerous plausible scenarios.

OJ killing his wife was a bad decision, but once he does that it makes sense to hire some GOAT lawyers

Haha

Cryrie Irving has made himself a laughing stock. I suppose some stupid team will think he's going to change, they'll learn the hard way

Remember people believing he was going to be different because "he was going home"? LMFAO (PS: don't worry, I don't remember who you were :))

Flat Earth strikes again

Irving not only demanding a max deal but also thinks he has such leverage he can pick what team will be given the opportunity to offer it to him----Boy to live in this guy's head.

Playing devil's advocate. Lets say Irving is a model citizen and teammate. Giving the guy the max is still over-paying.(though he would definitely get it without question) He is a 2nd banana(maybe even 3rd) at best on a championship team. His game can fluctuate to extremes. Look at that Boston series---dominate game 1 and then kept disappearing more and more as the series drew....He would NEVER be a #1 on a championship team putting aside everything else. He is a smallish guard that is also a joke defensively. Even at his absolute best he is still over-paid.

Any team that gives him 4 years and 200 million is doomed. You are paying him to "space out" for 4 years. If he gets anything more than 1 year from any team i would be pretty shocked. Maybe 2 years with many clauses written in----of which this would in-rage him. Probably make the team think twice right then and there...

lastly, It makes me laugh of the talking heads saying Lakers are favorites in West if they land Irving. Is the season starting over? There are less than 30 games to go and Lakers sit 11th in the west. Irving going to also actually play every game once/if he gets dealt there. Please.

They don't have to trade him. I understand they get nothing when he walks but I'll bet the fanbase would be pleased if management puts their foot down. So let's say Kyrie refuses to play the rest of the season. Good. That means less teams would take a chance on him when he enters free agency. The Net's can dock his pay if he doesn't play. Either way you look at it you are talking about millions of dollars he will never recover. I'll bet he plays. Does this clown really want to throw away a chance to be in the Eastern Conference Finals on principle. They are going to move him for Westbrook, another clown? Lakers aren't winning anything with or without Kyrie.

I don't know if Westbrook is a clown, exactly---He plays and plays damn hard. He just isn't any good in today's game.

At his absolute best he is a high usage inefficient player.

This will likely be Westbrook's last year in the NBA. Even those so called "great 6th man" thing is really an illusion. He has been rather terrible. Still puts up good counting numbers/old school numbers with the minutes he plays---but those have long been figured out to be fools numbers.

Four years $200,000,000.00 for this psycho, not a chance. They should trade him to the worst team in the league. Let that fool rot in Detroit or Houston.
