Sources: The #Dolphins are releasing former first-round pick QB Josh Rosen after attempting to trade him for the last few days. Rosen will attempt to restart his career elsewhere.

Kyler Murray 15 years ago would have been a 6th round pick but because people are getting dumber he is now going #1.

and why?? Because all of a sudden he is Russell Wilson. This is the same mindset that teams try to pretend they can find a Tom Brady in the 6th round every year. An all time great qb goes in rounds 3 or later about once every 20 years just like a short not real qb.

Kyler Murray is about as sure of qb bust as it gets.... and when kingsbury gets fired after 3 seasons he will be in baseball

This didn't age well

You always confuse fantasy success for real success. They lost 10 games last year.
Not saying he won't be good, but let's not crown him yet.

I think its safe to say he's better than Rosen

And for the most part guys that are producing in fantasy are producing in real life. Sure you have the random outlier like Winston last year who is a trash player but kills it in fantasy but id say 95%+ of good fantasy players are good in real life

Rosen sucks in both

It will be interesting to see who takes a chance on him. New England and the Rams are the first two teams that immediately come to mind, particularly if Cam is one and done in New England. I could see the Steelers, Titans, and Bucs also as 3 teams that could also potentially bring him in for a look.

No real opinion on if he makes it or not but obviously getting cut was a good thing for him. He had no pathway to playing time on Miami.

Probably dust though

Could be. I'd just like to see what the kid could actually do with some talent around him or a better coaching staff.

Playing QB in the NFL is pretty meritocratic so if he can play I'm sure cream will rise to the top at the end of the day. Don't think there are too many guys that can play at say Stafford level and never got a shot.

If not, fuck it, Seattle XFL team could use a QB to go with that D.

As a dolphins fan, i was fine with trading for Rosen. It was a "low risk high reward move".

He started a game or 2 and just did NOT have the "It factor"

He has the talent but the mind and leadership is NOT there.

Talent wise, he is 10x better than Fitz. However Fitz was able to rally the troops, Rosen couldnt.

I did NOT want the fins to draft him as a 1st rd pick 2 years ago as i thought he would have been a bust.

His career isnt over. Just put on hold

I think this is mostly true but we don't know. And more over I don't think it would be because of discrimination. The change in both college and NFl rules and playing styles has changed what type of QB that is being picked to some extent. I think you are going to see some problems if these QBs try to play college style football. Their longevity and health will suffer for some who need to. And lets face it.....Brady was I believe a 6th round pick and one of the top 5 greatest QBs of all time. What if Bledsoe never gets injured? What if they assume Brady was a nothing gets traded and sits behind a star QB and we never would have seen him. Maybe because he never gets a chance to play for a few years he is just discarded.

Well said! Yes I think if he can find the correct team to lecture him into being a decent quarterback I think he can be in the NFL as one of those dark horse(s)

Just look at Kyler: A 1st overall pick of where people thought he was a bust or maybe not the QB everyone thought but he surprised everyone and is one of the top rookie players in the game

We'll never know for sure but I think Brady's time was coming sooner than later either way. Bledsoe was 5-13 in his last 18 starts when he got hurt.
