I have kodi and the other apps on an Apple TV. One of my friends built it and sent it to me and I wouldn't know how to update or modify the apps. He said what I have is the equivalent to dial up Internet and the hacked Amazon sticks are better.
We use it to watch movies and some shows. Many times the links don't work but if you wait it out it usually works once the better quality editions are posted.

i have a few amazon boxes and sticks, they work great. Got hooked up with an inviteonly site that has sports and other programming for$10 a month. Its the nuts. I use that an exodus for tv and that is pretty much all i needed. You can install everything from the ares wizard. do a google search on how to install it on a new build. Its pretty easy. Once you have the ares wizard on your box you can try different builds if you want or just downloaded the apps themselves. Builds are nice but are often updated regularly and if you don't keep up with them your build can get outdated quickly. I use the pulse build on a few boxes and they work good. the beast is good also but the guy that puts it out is really full of himself and it turned me off to his product. you can follow them on twitter or facebook so you know when the new builds are out.

I have a fire stick on the way and i seen there are plenty of step by step guides on installs.
Is there a "best" all in one build that will give you movies, tv shows, sports? Or is it basically all the same but the interfaces and navigation are different.
Are some builds faster then others? I live out in the sticks so my ISP is not the fastest so I would want to look into a build that would run the best for me considering my slower ISP

exodus is good for movies an tv shows. That's all I've been using. Also hear velocity is another. When I have some free tI'm I'm going to try and figure out how to set it up for ncaab.
You can Google it but basically go to system and add fusion.tvaddons.ag. That will allow you to install exodus and watch a bunch of stuff just like netflix in good quality.
